Rear view anti glare mirror - default is on

hi all

I have had a good search and not sure if it is possible to do but is it possible to code the anti glare rear view mirror to be default = off when driving the car? Currently when I start the car and of course drive it, the green light is always,on, even during the day time plus I have factory privacy glass.

I would prefer to code it as only turn on with auto headlights or default is off

Not got an answer, but yes, it can be annoying/dangerous in certain conditions to have it always "ON" - I had a 2001MY B5 Passat and it did not have a switch on the mirror, bought wife a new Polo in 2002 and it did have a switch, so when my mirror starting leaking, I replaced it with a later version of mirror with an ON/OFF switch! Come to think of it, I don't think that wife's new 2016MY Polo has a switch on its mirror - hum, what goes around goes around, how annoying!!
