Hi all, this is my first post here, and I am afraid I am lookin gfor a bit of help.

I have an A6 avant 1.9tdi 2003 which has a leak somewhere in the rear. I had two inches of water in the spare wheel well, the boot floor panel is sodden and the rear seat drivers side only is also pretty damp.

I have tested the rear wash wipe and Ii don't think its that - it doesn't work but there is no water around the washer wipe area inside the boot inner panel, and the pipe runs down the passenger side of the car, the side that is dry!

I have also checked the seal on the drivers side rear light cluster and again no water inside and no sign of ingress.

Are there any bungs in the rear wheel arch that could be letting water in? Anything else I should try, do i have to take the rear seats out?
Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.

TIA

:)

I just fixed a leak at the gasket between rear light cluster and body, it had made its way into the stair wheel well and was busy soaking the area of sound deadening in the cubby hole in the boot, not as bad as your case but I noticed it early as I had a puncture recently. Maybe something to check?

my rear washer doesn't work- but I can hear the pump

should I be checking the passenger side in the boot then? does the pipe run through the roof?

The pipe runs through the sill on the nearside, they split for a pastime. Mine split at the base of the A pillar, but they're also prone to go where the tailgate hinges. And just about anywhere inbetween...

Oh great!

I've only had my '05 Allroad two days and had it on a big run (7 hours) on day two. During which I tried the rear washer a couple of times with a good long push of the right stalk!

Now I'm away for a week with the car parked up at home- maybe it'll be like a greenhouse when I get back!
