After some "healthy" driving, i definitely need my brakes upgraded asap.
So will be ordering new front disks, ferodo DS2500 and braided lines with motul rbf600....
Looking forward to having half decent brakes :)

Today's job on the endless to do list was give the headlights a polish using 3m headlight restorer.
Good kit and only £20.
I had paid a "professional company" to do them a few weeks ago but i thought they did a shoddy job so gave it a go myself....

Noticeably better in person and as i had thought, was right to ask for my money back from the company who said "thats the best they will get".
Next job, fit the mk4 aero wiper arms and blades :)

Since the rebuild and fitting the airtec fmic, my front lower grills needed modifying in order to fit flush, so today took to Martock Panel craft to have it done, also got the splitter fitted at same time.
Not 100% sure i will keep the splitter, but here's how it looks now...

So, car recently developed a rattle on tick over and revs.
Thought was dreaded timing related, but turns out my pro 4 manifold has cracked where it joins the cylinder head!
3000 miles, not impressed.
So i have to pay to remove and either weld, or get replacement under guarantee.
Either way it costs me and isnt great.
More fun :'(

Porsche 996 turbo calipers arrived today.
In good condition but debating sanding down and repainting brembo yellow as not sure on the idea of red calipers on a red car...
Also car failed mot on front tyres below limit so was time to upgrade to the most highly recommended rubber :)

Update...
Car failed MOT on few things, cracked rear springs, worn front tyres and manifold cracked..
So is currently having Blistein b8's, apex 30mm springs, new tyres upfront and 4 wheel alignment... And new manifold ;-)
Thought i better upgrade the backup car aswell from the Peugeot 206 eco.....

What spec?!

What's the setup you will be going for?!?
It's a holset hy35.
The smaller of the holsets which hopefully will minimise lag. Supposed to be strong and able to take high boost, will be porting to match the manifold, custom downpipe etc. Mapping with Bill end of September. Fingers crossed
