results from MRC healthcheck for my s6

so dropped it off and had good chat with doug on saturday and got some grim reading from ben today.. need to get your collective thoughts

its an 07 s6 avant with about 65k miles and full audi history albeit on the avs regime!

- shes down on power showing 360 on the dyno!!
- oil leak from around the water pump driveshaft area
- rear light cluster borked and so is the one i got from ebay!
- borked rear tailgate switch
- rear lower wishbone bushes are corroded and are weeping fluid
- front panel gaps are off

i know its had new rad and cooler pipes done at audi a couple of years back and im sure the wings have never been off nor resprayed so not too concerned about the panel gaps. i reckon its a bodge on putting the bumper back on the the headlights based on chat with doug are often poorly aligned

i expect its carbon build up so again not fussed at this time on the power loss

the borked lower wbone bushes are a bit odd but simple fix

the tailgate and inop rear light are not scary so ill take the hit for a new light cluster because it needs to pass its mot

but the one that scares me is the oil leak!!

i only got the car a few weeks back and whilst i expected to spend some coin on consumables etc, the oil leak has kind of dampened my spirits

i couldnt reach ben today but will buzz him tomorrow. in the meantime, what are your collective thoughts people???
 
where is the oil leak coming from? Mine had a small oil leak which turned out to by a broken PCV valve breather thingy. Mine made similar power on the dyno but im stuck running it on 95 unleaded. I have a box of NF Octane booster ordered so that should help free up some power.

Did you get the carbon build up cleaned before?
 
the leak is from around the waterpump driveshaft area. could be a seal thats failing but to change it would be a labour intensive job and the diagnosis not conclusive yet

not had the car de-coked and its not been done prior to my ownership either. mrc did say that they have never had one reach over 400 on the dyno in factory standard spec
