Not our first Audi, so not a surprise, but yet still very disappointing.
Here is a pic of our S5 drivers seat after 168 miles.

Took it back to Audi and initial response was "it shouldn't ever look like that, let alone after 168 miles, we'll replace the base or re-upholster".
Next day my wife receives a voicemail to say that they'll do anything we want, but not under warranty. Also if they do anything about it, they expect it to look the same within a month.... says it all really.

My last S5 did it, but took a few thousand miles, and didn't look anywhere near this bad.

How can they get this so wrong, so often and get away with it???!!!
Feeling I might send an email to Watchdog, see if they are having a slow story week/month.
It's taking the shine off of the new car experience......

Gf's Mondeo, 12K on the clock, seats look good as new.
Come on Audi this is crap quality.

Very poor quality i would be having a right paddy in the showroom if it was me.

Wow....and I was just discussing why the 'only leather' choice with no alcantara option was putting me off an S5.
Seeing this has made that choice a whole lot easier.

I hope you get it sorted.

This shouldn't ever put you off of buying a S5. If it's one of many reasons, then perhaps.
Its terrible quality given, but the reality is its minor and the rest of the package is spot on and you never see it when you are in the car, or so the wife tells me.....
I'll see about getting Audi to sort it, then if they don't will have an upholster look at it.

What are you choosing from S5 v what?

My guess is an A4:whistle2:

I could sort of accept that one seat may be faulty, but to say it will happen again is truly abysmal.:wtf:

Audi UK customer services and ask for extended warranty on any repair. If it then happens again I would take it to a top notch upholsterer to re-trim all the seats and get Audi to pay. Alcantra here you come!

Hope they look after you and that the shine has not gone from the purchase too much:sorry:

I remember reading about this issue before I ordered my S5 a year ago. Mine is now 9 months old and its done nearly 4000 miles. The drivers seat shows signs of having been used with the leather at the back slightly stretched but no-where near as bad as that photo. So it seems that the quality is variable from car to car. Plenty of other people have complained about this - I have seen posts - perhaps you can find out if any of them managed to get it rectified by Audi.

My s5 has 40 thou on it and the seat doesn't look as bad as yours
Good luck with Audi

My a5 seats didn't even look that bad when I traded it in with 60k on it!

Seems to be a common issue with the Audi seats across various models. I know a few of the guys with the a3/s3 have sagging and creased seats even on day of pick up.

Our's has done 7550 miles and it looks like that.
