Exhaust system for sline Avant

hello,
Basically I've got an A4 Tdi SLine avant 140 bhp model but I want the 170bhp models exhaust system with the split exhausts. I've been told that it just fits straight to the car easy enough. Do I need to change the whole rear bumper or is it possible to change the insert (been told this).

Also I will be going for my stage 2 remap soon, the car is at 188bhp and 300 torque at the moment and been told for my stage 2 a upgrade on the exhaust system and air intake, would the 170bhp model exhaust system be enough for this?

a standard 170 exhaust aint going to give you any gains really mate, i put a miltek from a 170 on my 140 easy enough, i just had to alter a bracket on the down pipe, as for the bumper, you only need to change the bottom valance.

Regarding the 170 bhp exhaust system, I don't mean if it will give me gains, I was wondering if it will be suitable for the stage 2 remap or would I have to go for a bigger system? great news about the bumper!
 
The bumper you can buy just the bottom valance - I got one last week from Audi there £39.15 + VAT.
No pictures yet as its at the body shop stil being painted

now mate, not sure on what stage 2 gets you bhp/torque wise but i would say upgrade clutch before exhaust if your going to be getting on for 200bhp, common sense says it'll be ok to put a 170 exhaust on coz if you had a 170 and mapped that the exhaust would be fine, you would be better fitting a upgraded exhaust as all helps in the long run, my 140 is sitting at about 180(ish) and about 310 torque but i got a bit of nice flow going on with a decat and miltek down pipe and exhaust

That's the exact point that I was thinking about it! My aim is for just over 200bhp, I'll settle with that lol. Don't mind me asking what was the price on the miltek down pipe and exhaust?

i got the full exhaust from the cat back this includes the downpipe, must say it looked huge compared to the standard one, if memory serves it was £280, used, 3 month old, and i was given the receipt for good measure, that says it cost the bloke i got it off £700 +. lol
best deal i've ever had i think

Yeah rang my local Audi and gave then a number plate from a 170bhp a4 (loads on eBay take your pick).

I'm only putting a 170 twin exhaust. more for the looks will be adding chrome tips tho (that should be here on Thursday £100 quid from eBay.

Sounds easy enough, that's what I'll be doing then. Yea mines mainly for the looks, always preferred the 170 rear than 140 but killing to birds with one stone with it lol

Ive got a spare 170bhp rear valance. Got it off facebook to fit my bumper but then ended up getting a full bumper with parking sensors.

Its in black.
