any opinions on any difference between the two software's

It's very hard to say I've only driven Revo but it's top drawer. Apr also have the TCU map available which would be a good combination if you're planning that hopefully Revo's is out soon. APR seem to bring out periodic updates whereas Revo don't which may suggest that Revo's is longer in development so drawer your own conclusion on that one. Who's the nearest dealership to you ? - that could very well swing it.

I have had experience with Apr before on my mk5 r32 made a big improvement in driveability. And awesome gti who did my r32 are on 30mins drive from me .

Been looking at this offer but still unsure as I've got an old blue fin unit so get 25% of another bringing it down to £375.

Insurance would cost the same just let them know when I install it.

Would love to have 2 x stage 1 cars on the same dyno followed by a quarter mile run....

I was more thinking of an excuse for a load of us to get together rather any sort bragging rights but always good to see what each car puts out on same day, same rollers, same calculations

Peak figures nor the quickest car down the 1/4 mile relate to the reality of day to day driving. The Revo software development is unmatched & hence updates are rare. Revo is developed in the real world on track & road in many differing environments, climates & with varying fuel qualities around the globe, we have two RS3's at HQ & this is after the initial development started many months back on the RSQ3 for this software.

We are so confident that our software will completely transform your RS3 & that you'll be 100% satisfied, that we even offer a 30 day money back guarantee if not 100% satisfied. Can't say fairer than that!

Still in progress for the later ECU security, it won't be a secret when we do crack it ;)

Hi Steeve, great talking to you at the Autosport show the other weekend - forgot to ask about the TCU map any progress on that ?

Talking with Reflex to have the standard map put on before its service but really not looking forward to driving it stock for a week !

TCU software has been on our own MQB cars for a good 8 or 9 months, with great results.
We're just completing work on the flashing process and then it'll be released (very soon).

As normal, Revo do far more testing behind the scenes before releasing the finished product, to ensure you get the best experience and reliability when the software is released.

Happy days !! Let me know if you you need an extra dev vehicle or when it becomes available as I'm definitely looking to get this done after hearing how much difference in makes from those who have the APR TCU tune.

Let us know how that goes!

Will do !!

Map went on at 6k now over 12k so done more miles with it than without it during which time it's performed flawlessly and transformed the car.

19k on our Stage 2 S3 8v which first had software within around 60 miles of coming off the production line, used daily and has been driven rather hard over the time we've had it, not a single issue.

VERY tempted to just go stage 2 why the tune goes back on.

Don't suppose your S3 will be back at base this Friday afternoon ?

Can anyone advise how warranty is effected going for a stage 1 revo map.

Here we go again!

You tune you wave goodbye to warranty.

That sentence needs to be etched in stone and placed at the top of the forum!

apologies if this has been answered before (which no doubt it has :seenoevil:) ... I appreciate any form of tuning will void the warranty ... but when you have the car remapped back to the original stock map will this be picked up by Audi ? I will be looking to go to Demon Tweaks to get a stage 1 revo when its available for 2015 and later models. Will they charge to have it remapped back to stock or is it genuinely a kind gesture as part of the original purchase?

If you use the search facility at the top of the forum page you will find most of what you are looking for there. Type in what you are looking for and should come up.

I think this is dealer specific but I'm told that most will do this for free or if you go to a different dealer the worse case will be an hours labour charge. I had mine done by Revo themselves at a show last year so there is no supplying dealer to go back to.

Oh dear - is it really the same car ?:sleeping::sleeping::sleeping::sleeping:

Roll on next week !

As I have said many times, all I can do is talk from personal experience and that is that with over 300 dealers around the globe I have yet to see a Revo car that has had Revo software flashed back to stock and then visited the main dealer for warranty work ever have a claim rejected. But of course who knows what can change in the future, your car and your decision to weigh up.

For those with APR stage 1 or 2 it looks like software version 2.2 has just been released to address all known bugs and deliver a more refined driving experience.

Edit : may be market specific North America only ?

Tell us more mate? Been considering it, but just not cracked on yet. Is it that much better and worth the cost?

i have always had the gearbox map but got the updated version today it is so much better shaper, quicker, and super smooth !! using the paddles you have no delay at all now and can also change the rpm limit for the launch control

Anyone contemplating a Revo remap this may be of interest :-
