Looking at some Eibach springs to lower my A4 Avant SE tdi and having fitted £150 TA Technix coilovers to my 307cc 180 in the past the ride wasn't that bad and most my driving is motorway so it's generally smooth surfaces.

Just wondered if anyone had gone that route with a B8 and have a review of 'Cheapo Coilovers'

Thanks

Iirc somebody fitted some, but couldn't get the rear ride height high enough

I fitted a set of FKs. And I know you won't wanna hear it but cheap coilovers are sh*t!!!! I chucked my after a few weeks and fitted some eibach pro springs instead. Got a nice comfortable ride with a drop of around 30mm.

If you want coilovers to go lower then you'd be looking at throwing in more money.

On my old 2010 b8 I got eibach spring and the rear was sitting higher than the front which botherd me so much I just bought cheapo coilovers. Needless to say I sold the car 3 weeks later. What a load of rubbish. Don't get cheap ones.

Might be able to get some H&R 29059-3 springs second-hand to sit on the standard avant SE shocks for now. See if the shocks will be up to it
