hi all, as above can any one help please, i'll try my best to describe my problem.

i have an android head unit and i think full bose (bose speakers all round amp and sub in boot), that works fine barring a lot of alternator whine (buzzing speakers, interference).

now here's the problem, i went to fit some hi lo converters to the speaker lines at the back of the unit to stop the buzz, as i'm led to believe that solves the problem, here is my audi unit wiring so you can see what i got to play with,

the circled parts are what i have from the cars loom, that's it ??? i've been sat looking at four wires that are in the top left box in the quad block but can't see what i would class as a speaker line, i cut the yellow wire to see and that was the lower drivers door speaker but not the top door one and how is one wire running a speaker ??? do all the speakers run from the amp ???
only thing i can think now is to see if i could fit the converters to the amp instead ???

am i missing something simple or am i missing bits of the audio loom ???

any thoughts any one...

If you have BOSE then the head unit doesn't have any speaker wires at all. The only thing the HU produces is line levels on the top left connector in your picture.

LO-RL etc

Are the Hi-LO converters to convert speaker levels to line? if so they will not help you.

thanks for the time to help mate, i'm not sure to be honest, i have bought a ground loop isolator and then 2 hi lo converters, i was going to see which one of the 2 work but i dont know where to tap in to try them ???

The ground loop isolator would be my choice, but you would need two of them to give you 4 channels.

They would tap into the 4 LO outputs and Ground point. In series with the existing connections to your BOSE amp.

right i know were they will go then now, i'll order another loop isolator today and get them both fitted,

thanks again Craig mate, this has stumped me for about 2 weeks now, lol

I'm pretty sure they do a full Bose connector adaptor that will use the head units speaker connections.

Will look for link now.

the harness i got with the stereo was supposed to be plug and play if you like with the full bose system but its basically just the rca outs from the stereo wired to the quadblock to meet the lo out puts from the audi system, so the signal from the unit is catching unwanted noise through there, i now have 2 ground loop isolators that are going to be wired in today so i can let you all know if the worked, if not while i have everything chopped up wiring wise i'll try the hi lo converts just to be sure, thank again for all the help boys, this could be the day the unwanted noises stop, fingers crossed lol.

ok got the isolators wired in and yes they have greatly reduced the alternator whine but i still get some buzz through the speakers when i turn my lights on ???

this hole thing is turning into a saga, this bose set up is the most user unfriendly set up i have ever messed with
