yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Not many good ones to choose from but thought the TT bit was Audiesque.. Done my insurance with Go compare link to Nationwide. No tracker required. Protected NCD, Foreign use, etc £293. seems OK.

You starting a brand new insurance policy for the RS3 then or changing mid way ?

Yeah good price and TT link is cool too.

New policy. I sold my S3 a few months ago when late wife was ill and NCD transferred to new RS3. Nationwide are happy to cover from delivery on 29 Feb as long as I don't drive on the road! Quite like to pick nice reg but would never pay for a PP.

ahh right gotcha. Same here, like a nice plate and will be asking my Dealer for a selection to pick from as usual but not bothered about private reg.

How did you get to pick that this early? I kept asking i want to get mine nice and early but still no call!

Might be a phone call tomorrow :sob:

Bristol Audi are brilliant! Helps that I am a regular and recommend folks to them too I expect.

After saying build starting on 15th Feb for the last week the website has just updated to "Preparation", woohoo! What's the likely timeframe for delivery now, dealer says in 2nd/3rd week of March.

I asked about choosing a reg but the dealer (Reading) said that the system has changed and the reg is now automatically allocated by DVLA and no choice available, it must vary depending on location, bummer!

Reading are talking nonsense as far as I am aware , you go on to the system and can see 20/30 reg numbers, they can disappear in front of your eyes but if you have a dealer prepared to put in the effort you can choose!! I did it yesterday.

Say hello to my mum in the picture lol My van broke down today so i have to go get a clutch cable so i needed a lift.

We pull up i was like (oh look its just like mine I'm getting but not on them plates) So we both went in to see my sales guy that said (yeah your car is out there but for some reason someone put those plates on). I picked other plates i wanted (still not great but its all part of it). So off outside we go!

So i started the car and moved it all of 7 foot ahead to have a look around lol, not exactly what i had in mind for my first drive in her but still had a go!

Its got 42 miles on the clock but is being moved to there lock up so i guess it will have a few more (ragged :racer:).

He also asked me if i wanted to go to a midnight launch for the car but I'm still unsure if this is something i wanted to do.

May not be to everybody taste (primer grey with matching primer seats:haha:) but its not for everybody just ME! :yum:

Someones got a S3 this month next to it and a few others kicking about but didn't look too much at the others, can't think why lol.

Great pre-delivery inspection write up & photos mate :sunglasses:

The photos are great & the car looks fantastic .... I am a fan of nardo and especially with black pack & alloys so defo approve of the look you have gone for

So exciting to see your car and with 16 reg number plates on. The lunar seats are very nice and you are right this car is for you so your choice is #1 !

Lol @ being ragged :tearsofjoy:

Midnight launch might be nice if you've never been to one before - to soak up the atmosphere amongst other new car owners to be & then drive off @ midnight .... otherwise no harm in picking on the 1st if you're not that fussed about getting it the night before.

Every time I see a photo of the rs3 interior I just think it looks so special & high quality.

Congrats on seeing your new car ... it looks fantastic !!!!

Looking Good Eigdoog... Only immediate thought.. Why are KL Audi not fitting Euro plates? The plain ones just do not look right in my opinion... Why bother with GB stickers??

Thanks!

Its all so real sitting in the car! Then starting her with a nice roar! :hubbahubba:

Still need to think about the midnight pick up but i might leave it till the 1st since it would be easier to get a lift and i might get more of a one on one when picking her up (deals).

Not sure about the plates, i do prefer plates without anything on. Never put a lot of thought into though when i was there.

Bet you can't wait now snake, what stage are you at?

Plates are a personal thing ... whatever suits for you.. I go to Europe 8/9 times a year and prefer the no faff Europlate option.

My car will be sat on the drive and I will be off the lemonade so I can awaken the neighbours at midnight :)

So come midnight you're taking the new beast out for a run then RG ? :sunglasses:

Possibly? Probably a bit silly as I have driven 3 already. White, primer, and mythos demonstrators.

Just before you dive off RG you should def say.

I'm Batman lol

Love the 'dive' typo.. My RS3 should be quieter than some without the noisier exhaust.

At least you'll get to test out the LED lights at night and give it a few blasts while the roads are quiet .... You could even have your pano roof open for full effect :sunglasses:

Agreed Snake...however I have a dinner that evening which will involve wine and I would need to resist that temptation...
