Short Plate/jell plate

Hi all,

I have just ordered my self a private Reg which is 5 letters long,

im wanting a short Jel plate for the back (ive had pressed for years and want a change), has anyone bought from a decent and good priced one any where?
 
Hello mate, have a look on dmb graphics I had a set of gel domed plates on my old focus ST and was very happy with the quality of them, think I paid around £26 or so but was worth it.

Cheers mate, I shall give them a look, I got some jel overlays for my fiesta off them when they sold them, couldn't knock the quality there either, cheers for the info bud

no worries mate, yeah I had a set of those overlays as well, shame ford got the hump in the end and they had to stop making them
 
I know, I bet they did extremely well with them! I had a few people ask me where I got mine from after they got rimmed for selling them, just had a speak with dmb and it seems to be a good price and the ford forums used to rave about them a lot , although i have to wait for my documents to come through for proof of purchase! I'm an impatient man
 
haha noooo that's annoying, can join you on that one I hate having to wait for things!
 
Cheers @jazz5000 have you used them personally? And I know I'm not much of a waiter! My turbo back was delivered and I fitted it the same day already had the old one coming off before it was delivered! It's a bad thing sometimes I guess like
 
Havnt used him personally but all my mates have and have had no issues,
 
Cheers mate just thrown him a text he's pretty expensive but the plates look like good quality!
 
Just an update on this, sorted some nice short plates! Cheers guys

Off eBay mate, I searched high and low for the cheapest ones, and not many do the short plate and the gel text without breaking the bank!

These are 14" gloss black gel, here's the link, you can have carbon or black gloss, I emailed him and said what I wanted and he returned with an offer, cost £36 inc postage which imo is decent!

Hmm, I'll have a look....Only issue is I have a stick on no plate on the front with having a RS3 grill which IMO looks better without a plate on so I dont know how I'll get round that as I would like both my no plate's to match but he wont be able to do a gel stick on one.

How are you mounting your front no plate if that's your car <<<<

The reg on my bumper is currently a pressed plate which I formed into place with some heavy 3m double sided tape, I'm going to get a heat gun and mould this one round my front bumper, it shouldn't need to much flexing being a small plate! I'm pretty confident that this will work, I agree on you than the rs3 style grill looks a lot better without a plate on it!
 
I dont either, Time yet though....

That picture doesnt fully show it, Honestly it's tiny haha.
 
I can see how small it is! May as well not have one ! I had mine in the window on my previous car and got pulled for it .... never mind a micro reg

Have you still got these plates on your car and are they decent quality?
 
Just ordered some of these plates mate cheers for the help, did the take long to come?
 
Good man, did you ask for short plates or full size? I think I ordered on the Friday and received them on the following Wednesday
 
Been debating for ages what ones to get, a wanted the short ones but seen a couple of pictures of the back and wasn't really sure if I liked it so I ordered the standard one for the back but the small one for the front

Also I'm slightly agreeing with this, I'm still not 100% sure on the short plate at the back :/ but time will tell!
