Problem on start up please help

I've a 53 reg fsi 2.0 150bhp , I've not used the car for a week started it today and when it started the engine mngt light was flashing but stopped flashing after 5 mins or so , but the car is shuddering a lot but as soon as the car gets upto temp the shuddering stopped but the engine light has stayed on any ideas on possible causes ?
 
Maybe 02 sensors in exhaust system, I seem to recall these fsi engines had a few fitted, speculative, but ideally needs scanning.
 
Once the shuddering has stopped would the car be ok to take it to the garage? It's only a miles away from my house , been told it sounds like a sensor or maybe the coil but Audi replaced the coil a year ago as my car had a recall
 
If shuddering settles, maybe a coil, 02 sensor or plug faulty, but I cant see it being an issue to drive a mile if it runs ok after settling down.
 
I'm going to use my work van to pop over to machine Mart to buy a reader if it's the coil is it simple to replace and would it be recommended to replace all 4 ? Looked on eurocarparts and they are only £27.66 each
 
All done is was the coil that failed coil number 1 so brought 4 new Bosch ones cost £90 but all done and scanned and now showing no fault code thank you guys for your input much appreciated. Mark
 
Intresting my cars been doing this of late bit like a missfire but is intermitten. I just cleaned the maf last week and it hasn't happen for a while but it did happen today. Simlar to you when I move and drive the car the shuddering and bouncing rev counter becomes normal again and settlea
 
Well .... I replaced all 4 coils re scanned the car after and came up with 0 codes .... And tonight I went to go out and it's happened again engine light flashing for about a min and shuddering again when it stopped shuddering the engine light has stayed lit . So now I'm scratching my head for what it can be I'm guessing the injectors
 
Well after the same symptoms this is what came up literally just did a scan baring in mind I've replaced all 4 coils

I'm going to put some fuel injector cleaner in tonight and take it for a spin hoping it might be just a blocked injector worth a try
