Anyone running these ???or anyone running the tarox corsa /strada pads ? Heard theyvwere ds2500's rebranded anyone no if this is still the case ??

Never used them on the S3 but used them extensively over a period of about 6 years in different light weight race cars. Superb pads, possibly the best I have ever used (in this specific application), they make DS2500's feel wooden in comparison, brilliant consistancy but only up until about 450Deg over that they struggle, superb wear rate, easy on rotors its a very positive picture. They were however sqeally when cold but that went away in a couple of hard presses, cold bite not so good either. Not sure how they would fair in a heavy car like the S3, better than DS2500's for power and fade resitance but lack of cold bite and the noise might be to much for the road.

Pagid make the OEM pads for the RS3: them Pagids use 8-brass rivets to hold the friction material to the back plate and a few miles on them brass rivets start and score the discs so guess what: I don't use 'em...

Oh, and the pads are branded: Audi/Brembo/Pagid... Gotta laugh...

Ok thanks choosing pads is a complete nightmare :)

I use EBC Redstuff on the RS3, Smirky, and find 'em perfect for road use: a fair number of other RS3 owners use 'em too and bar one find 'em perfect for road use; but we're talking RS3 here and it's a different set-up to the S3. Ran Redstuff on out 2.0 TT and didn't like 'em at all - long pedal travel and lack of bite - so went back to OEM pads and all is well...

I can only assume that the construction on the pagid Blues is somewhat different from that of their OEM supply pads. No brass rivets on the 9 sets I have sat in my garage. Some down to near their backing plate and I can see anything untoward.

If you were happy with the Pagid OE pads, why not stay with them, The Blues, Ferodo DS range, Tarox pads are more suited to a track car and work better when hot.

That's good to know, Dt_racing; have to say the OEM RS3 ones are a disgrace and I for one will not be using 'em again...

I'm running way more than standard power and the brakes are pony on the s3 fade badly ,ideally want a bbk but having just spent over 2k on it just have to make do with pads and disks and braided lines

See what you mean. I would ask one of the Tuning companies what they recommend, The one who tuned your engine for instance. Im only used to lightweight cars and can't think which pad will suit you.

Brakes tend to be like marmite that's half the problem what one person loves another will hate ,my tuning company reccomends ap racing

I have these on my TTRS setup, in the cold and if you don't use them much they will feel pretty terrible and wooden. I only use to do 4 miles a day most of that in traffic but now I commute further they are perfectly fine in the cold. They do produce a lot of brake dust and they have lasted me well so far. They don't appear to be too harsh on the disc either.

You hit the nail on the head there. Only way to find the best pad for your goodsellf is try a few out yourself.
It's how I found my ideal pads.

Found rs42 good on the road but i ****** them on track at castle coombe in just a few sessions. After that they glazed badly.. the s3 is a heavy car and if you are looking for a fast road pad they are excellent. Track work i would go rs19s and swap them out the day before to bed them.

I'm just a bit worried about the weight of the s3 ,it's my daily so need something that works from cold but can also take a beating on spirited drives at the weekend ,

Oh they will be able to take some spirited drives. I've tracked mine and yes they did start to get a little hot leaving chunks on the discs but never once did they fade and I was doing 30 minute all out track sessions braking from 120 to 20/30mph. Mine may act differently in the cold as I have TTRS calipers and AP Racing floating discs. Shouldn't make much difference but brakes will get up to temperature quickly even after a few applications.
