I'm pleased to announce that I'm the new owner of a grey 2007 s3! Was impressed with it after the test drive and don't understand all these 'boring' comments! Also thought it sounded good! Picking it up on Saturday, can't wait to drive it home!

congrats mate, make sure to get some pics up! bought mine a month ago and definitley don't regret it. great guys on here as well everyone is always happy to help with any questions you might have.

Thanks guys, just need to sell my ep3 now! I will put pictures up! It bizarrely has had 7 owners but I've done an HPI check and all seems well. Buying it from a policeman so should be fine!

Thank you, it has Bose, heated leather (possibly standard on s3's?) and I think that's about it. Can't really remember as the advert has gone now. Good condition all around, interior is mint. First one I looked at, I know people say don't buy the first one, but I managed to get it for a good price.

Yeah I suppose so. Just can't wait to drive it home, coming from the civic with no torque it should be interesting!

Welcome, I went from an asbo spec ep3 to an a4 b6 avant which I loved but was written off by an old dear whilst parked up to my current s3 and I must say I'm loving it! You won't regret it... well your wallet might once you start tweaking it.

Ah sorry to hear that. I see you're in Eastbourne, I'm in Burgess Hill, don't see hardly any s3's around here!

Mine had done 46k when I got it 2 years ago and I was the 6th owner and the car has been fine. I went with the attitude of it is what it is. If it looks and drives OK and had full service history it was good enough for me as it also had a warranty.

I thought this was my thread...buys S3, still needs to sell their EP3, questions why people say they are boring, has Bose and heated leather lol. Weird!

Haha small world eh. Also the seller had an ep3 prior to the s3!
 
audi upgrades
Very small. Ah the seller I bought the car off had it from new and I convinced him to buy an 8V S3 lol.

I Love it. the car it self is a lot more solid the power is addictive.the ep3 is a great car but showing its age now the s3 a worthy upgrade you will find that out on the drive home don't get why people say they are boring?

My ep3 was standard for the 6 years I had it. Had my s3 6 months and booked for stage 1 Saturday coming :)
 
Here's my one (picture taken on it's birthday in 2014), just had a fresh MOT and will be up for sale soon

Weird driving it compared to the S3, it's like the lager lout of the hatchback world lol.. Steering is heavier, clutch feels totally different, never really felt the need to mod it though, whereas I want the Audi either Stage 1 or Stage 2+ lol. Funny old game.
 
Yeah there fun to drive though, just not as fast.



mine after the final wash I gave it before it was collected by the new owner and my s3

 
Cosmic grey premier edition, nice. Wanted CG when I bought mine but was well above my budget.
 
yeah was quite expensive when I bought it in 2010. but I was adamant I wanted grey and a premiere edition. sold for ok money though :)
 
Wow didn't expect to see so many ep3 owners! I have loved mine and nowt has gone wrong with it in 5 years (touch wood). Just time for a change!
 
Mine had a few age related problems like calipers sticking ball joints going etc and body work issues from past owners plus I've had an ep2 sport for 5 years Before the ep3 had that for 3 years and wanted a change too
 
audi upgrades
Great to see these ep3's on an Audi site! Picked up the car on Saturday, had a great drive home in the winter sun! Bit of turbo lag and then boom! I'll put pictures up soon when I get chance!

I haven't sold it yet! But I don't regret getting the Audi, everyone at work loves it! The light grey has grown on me a lot, dolphin grey I think?
 
Am I the only one on here considering an EP3 as a second car to the S3 then? A friend is nuts about Type-R Hondas (owns a UK spec DC2) and EP3 has grown on me over the last few months - would love to own something light and feisty as an alternative to the more "butch" S3... Plus it would get the Mrs off my back about not letting her drive the Audi :)
 
Well I'll be selling mine soon! They're fun cars to drive, and reliable!

Well here she is, took her for a wash this morning, been on a few drives now and all I can say is wow, it's everything I wanted in my next car! ****** love it! Got a few things to sort out on it but generally it's a cracker!
 
Looks nice get the wheels a bit darker and some tints and will look even better make sure the haldex has been serviced mine is in the pic below :)

Thanks dude, I might leave the wheels as they are for now, I don't mind the lightness against the darker grey. So glad I made the change though!
