W***ers...!
Is it possible that somebody has pushed the A3 up the road for a bit of a laugh. (In their own single celled ameoba type brain)...!

:wtf:

Yes that's what I've been thinking it went a fair distance for the amount of damage a little unsure though ov had a lot of plans for upgrading this car just puts a downer on everything...

What do yo guys think estimate repairs would be

Depends on whether it needs panels or not.
The bumper would probably fix and it's not that easy to see how bad the tailgate is.
Best asking a couple of body shops for quotes and taking it from there.
I saw new bumpers on a motor factors site for under £130.00 last week, but who knows how good they are.

Yeah boots fully pressed in and flaked paint because of the impression and the bumper has cracked and scuffed thanks. Hopefully I find out tomorrow who and what's actually happend. I just hope I can keep my cool so they have to pay for it instead of me getting done for somthing else..

The bumper can be repaired but for the tailgate I would find a used one and have it painted to match. That's the cheapest way to fix it.
It's just one of those hazards having a car, even more so if you can't park in a garage or on your own drive.

Genuine new bumper with paint and labour is £600+ It will have also damaged bars at the back which are meant to absorb impact so these get replaced when they take the bumper off. If it were me I'd be claiming off the insurance as the cost will be in excess of £1500 if they replace the tailgate with a new one.
Your best bet if you dont want to claim and to keep costs down would be to source parts and then have them painted (unless you're lucky enough to find a paint match) and fit yourself.

Hope you get it sorted mate, had similar issues in the past

Mate I feel for you, makes you sick to the stomach when you see it, mine got scratched in much the same place this crimbo, supermarket or somewhere, these tossers dont care, either a Chelsea tractor or £300 old banger done it, I can live with mine at the minute, but given half the chance it would be done on insurance if it was as bad as yours, do you have protected no claims?

I've found out it was a lorry pallet ways company. Got him on camera reversing into my car space doesn't show my car only just. shows my car alarm lights go off. I have a witness that spoke to the driver he asked him to leave his details he said he didn't have time and left. I hope they pay up I'm sure I have enough evidenc though.

Make sure you report it to the police as the driver has left the scene of an accident without leaving details.

You have a witness so the police should get the driver for leaving scene and his insurance will have to repair the car .

This is all good.
The driver will pay dearly for that, the company he works for will pay out under vicarious liability, their employee, their vehicle - their fault. The driver will also be charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't get fired.
