For some reason I can't seem to find an answer anyone know how much oil the gear box takes ?

I've called an indy dealer recently regarding having my DSG oil and filter changing and they told me it could be 6 or 7 litres so gave me 2 prices. Is yours a manual or DSG ?

I'm
Planning to do my dsg service soon...
Apparently from factory it takes 6/7 litres from empty.
To do a service requires max of 6 litres but can be done with 5.
TPS will always say more but you drain some oil after filling as part of it as when gearbox oil gets hot it expands :)

So I'd say 6 to be safe but I'll get 5 lol

Mines a manual one company told me 3 litres so it's ranging from 3 to 7 litres lol
Looking to put fuchs Titan race srg75 in as its running a bit more power than standard ,so be a nightmare to get to filling and be few litres short !

Sorry it was manual.
Dsg boxes hold about 7 litres!

Pre facelift manual cars used to feed the transfer box from the gearbox oil so took 3.5-4 litres.

Facelift cars have the transfer box oil separate.
Manual gearbox 2.5-3 litres
Transfer box 1 litre (same oil as rear diff)

Cheers think I'll get 5 litres just to be safe (mine is manual pre facelift)
