would the speedometer from a b7 fit into my b6. i know it will have to be programmed to the car. but will it fit other than that.

I would have thought so. I'm pretty sure they are both the same.

Yes it will fit, I lent my friend who has a B6 S4 my B7 cluster when he was fault diagnosing.

I'm far from knowledgeable on the subject but from what I recall it needs some degree of programming as the miles the car has done will be different (could be a good thing haha).

The new cluster will have to be coded with VCDS/Vagcom to match the original cluster.
