Audi a4 BLB 2005
Evening guys, I've just had my clutch flywheel and release bearing replaced. Prior to taking the car in to getting it changed there were no rattling noises or knocks or bangs.
The reason I had it replaced was due to the biting point which was really high and annoying.
After having it changed I realised that I've had a single mass flywheel conversion Installed. The issues I've come across now are that there's this annoying chatter on idle. When the clutch is fully pressed down there is no noise whatsoever. I've read people having issues with chatter on idle but this feels kinda of weird. The mechanic now is putting it down to a worn gearbox! Even though there was no issues whatsoever when the car went in this morning.
According to him even if I installed a dual mass the noise will still be there. I'm absolutely baffled and annoyed!
After taking it to another mechanic his verdict was it's something loose not tightend properly! He's previously done two single mass conversions on cars with no noise at all.
What could it be? Any ideas or things to look out for?
