What have you done to your 8V today?

Managed to...get away from work at 2 pm....flew home....well drove home actually...but ye get me drift....my OCD was eatin away at me....really mild today...snow foamed once....undiluted....Washed.....then used 2 dryin towels...one te dry...lol, then a brand spanker to apply the Gyeon quick detailer and buff off..car's paint was still damp, then a wee polish with microfibre cloth.....awesome finish...this stuff....its the best i have ever used....it really does add a lustre....that leaves even Gtechnique's in the shade and any other l have used, car looks nearly as good as it did when l applied the EXO2...get it on yer xmas list lads/laydayees....was dark when l finished...Sepang looks awesome surrounded by the neighbour's xmas lights....lol no fancy camera...so photos with me phone at night are pointless....point being....Gyeon cure quick detailer is a must have bit of kit....awesome shine,durable..and beads like nothing else.......

I have the factory storage pack on mine. Not sure if it should have come with the hooks or not, is a 63 plate, but only cost £5 and took less then 10mins to install :)

Handy mod really then..Not expensive either. My car was a cancelled order so I didn't personally spec it up, but it does have the nets etc.:salute:

Our S3 sedan got one luggage hook only even though there is a fitting for the other side (cheapskates Audi). I bought one off eBay - should be here in a few weeks.

Same here. I am going to buy another one as well now. Great idea!

Similar to the ones I got - however, they aren't OEM, just so you are aware.
Yer I could not find the OEM 8V ones, google was throwing up way too many Part Numbers when searching. Was a site in the USA that sold them but they were way over priced, £40ish with shipping, and only listed their own product code. In the end I just measured the fitting holes and then ordered Hooks which were the correct size.

Had a sneaky use of the Xmas pressies.....

Dragons breath wheel cleaner....pleasantly surprised with the results, thought wheels were clean but were much brighter after using this stuff.
Gtechniq liquid crystal C2.... Goes on really easy and buffs up quickly, will have to see what the beading looks like for something so easy to apply.
Autoglym Fast glass.....just another window cleaner, again will have to see the glass beading in the wet to make a judgement.

Dave the C2 will look even better on top of C1 mate,l jumped ship to the other side to Gyeon...Cure quick detailer...as it's more durable the C2 didnt react very well in the cold...took ages to buff off especially on the bonnet...will resort back to it come spring

Only tried the C2 as it was so mild yesterday (16C). As you recommend I plan to do the full C1 and C2 thing in the spring (or on NewYears day if the weather holds :grinning: )
