Hi. What size tyre will fit nicely on my B6 with 19" x 9.5 rims with an et38?

235?
245?
255?

Looking at 35 profile?

Cheers.

Dan

I bet you bought some merc slr turbine alloys on eBay......if you did, I hope you spotted the bent rim top right at the bottom.

My 9.5j 19s are running 235 but have a good stretch on them, im not sure if i had 245 weather they would scrub or not and thats on standard sport suspension!?

Yes I won those. My friend is an alloy wheel repair guy and can sort that dent out.

Have you got any pics of the stretch? I'm not keen on stretch to be honest but the ones I've seen have been excessive though.

Thats the best one iv got of how they sit on the car, i took the wheels off yesterday so will get a closer picture of the actual strech for you a bit later!

I had 245's on 9.5 (rear) and 235's on 8.5 (front) which were spot on, don't think I have any close up pictures though and I've changed wheels now.

Trying to add a close up picture of the stretch off the car but its telling me the file is to big

There we go, sorry about the state of them ha, not had chance to clean them yet!! Shows the stretch quite well tho!!

I run 20inch 9.5j with 225/30 tyres. Went on no problems according to the garage that fitted them.

It has a bit but if it didn't the wheels wouldn't fit at the height the car is currently.

Thats an incredible amount of stretch T. Oldaker!

I was getting absolutely hammered with my 235/30 on 20's so I HAD to go for maximum tyre thickness on 9 inche tyres... 265/30/20. Pics to come soon.

To answer your question specifically S4 Dan and to add my 2 pence in..

Since you are on 19's but on 9.5inch rims, I wouldnt recommend any narrower than 235..no way. The stretch will be crazy.

Go with what Gazwould has posted above in the wheel tyre chart.

My own personal exeperience has left me quite bitter about UK roads and had to ditch the 'stretched' look.

Since you are going for a 35 series profile on your 19's..the drive should absolutely fine.
