Is it possible to enable the battery meter on my MMI without using a VCDS? I have an A4 B8 Avant S-Line.

You need VCDS to enable the hidden menu, which system is fitted as there is no function for 3G+.

I think You can do it with carista which is an app on your mobile and a £5 Bluetooth dangle. Have a search on the forum for carista

There is a script that runs on an SD card called greenmenu_on.zip. Do a google search and it should provide you with the info on how to use it etc. I've used it on an MMI 3G+ unit. Should work on a MMI 3G.

My hidden menu is enabled. Does that mean I can activate the battery meter from there? If so, what's the sequence?

I didn't think that the battery meter is possible on the B8.5 Jeff, so if you manage to get yours to work I'd been keen to know about it.

It was removed on all MMI 3GP systems, as Audi realised their battery monitor system was rubbish! It was hopeless on the 2G system and they made no improvement on the 3G system, so canned it on 3GP.

Damn, enabled on green menu but didn't show up :( anyone with B8.5 manage to do this?

I have a b8 2009 but have had 3G plus from a a5 retrofitted, does this mean I won’t be able to get this as I did have it on my old system.
