Hi guys,
So I have a 2006 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI which is remapped and it currently has EVAP problems.

When I first bought the car it drove fine and it threw a EML with the purge and turbocharge valve, replaced the diverter valve and that solved the problem.

The EVAP fault was potentially caused by me filling the tank to 2-3 ticks.

Sometime later (two weeks) the EML is on again with EVAP problems, took it to a garage and they said they'll change the N80 but that might or might not fix it.

Drove find for a week and now it's back on again, is there anything I can do before taking it back to them (they charge £78 an hour)

It's only comes on when stationary, car drives fine, no loss in power and throttle response is fine. No different when it's been off to now on.

Can you guys suggest me checking/ changing anything?

Thanks

When the code PO441 came on for me I first changed the N80 valve. This solved the problem for a brief moment but the EML light soon reappeared along with the code. I then changed the EVAP canister and it's been fine ever since.

Thanks for getting back to me

Is it on the left in the engine bay? The charcoal canister?

I'm having the exact same problem with same engine. I changed my n80 valve and cleared eml code. It's back on so next step would be the black charcoal canister next to coolant tank, but it's not an urgent change for yet as it doesn't affect performance

Hi Abs, mine came on about 2 weeks after the N80 was changed, then codes read and cleared then on again 5 days later. I'm having a poke around looking for a canister for replacement.

Thanks for clarifying where it is

Changed mine recently

I've yet to have any check engine lights but if I do, it'll mean the charcoal canister.. On eBay for around 30-40 quid...

Nice one, great vid, I wished i'd done it myself rather than the garage charging over £100 to do it.

Wow, I'm not no mechanic but all it took was a pair of plyers and flat screwdriver and handy video as per above so just paying for the part. But hey ho, you'll know for next time, canister you can change yourself I'm sure though

Yup, after looking into it a bit more I should have just done it myself, but yeah, next time I'll know

Yh mate all possible yourself lol part was £30 :)

Nice one bud, I bought one from someone breaking their 8P for £20, as can only find new Chinese ones or breakers

For the price of a new one you shoulda asked at A local TPS or use the part request form on this forum as there's a guy who can get nearly any Audi part brand new for decent price!

Names is mjr901 :)
