B9 RS4

Mule or not, I really hope that is some sort of S4 / Allroad cross over and not the RS4!
Didn’t think they could make the B9 anymore fugly….but they’ve managed it with that!
I mean come on, boxed arches please!
 
To me, those arches look like temporary fitments on S4 wings so they can test the RS4 underpinnings. I'm sure the finished article will look nothing like that

This is a picture of an engineering mule, those arches are fitted to the std B9 bodyshell in order to encompass the wider RS track long before the RS4 chassis is ready. It'll be a powertrain mule testing engine/gearbox/axle and other systems.

Once the beta mule is in use it be in engineering camouflage to hide the body lines and design cues etc.

RS4 will be V6 bi-elec turbo with approx. 480 ps, it'll have great tuning potential once "unlocked".

Not sure what you mean by bi-elec turbo. I was assuming sequential turbos with an electric one to provide the instant boost at low revs and then a large exhaust gas turbo to provide the boost in the rest of the rev range. Do you know different?
