New wheels!

I am looking to getting some xxr 527s but want to go wide and aggressive so looking at 9.75 all round for a square set up! Spec would be:
9.75
Et 20

Wonder if anyone can help with tyre sizes! I dont mind running a stretch, im thinking i would have to run 225/40/18 but anyone know if i can go a little wider without rubbing issues?

My s3 is on coilovers but not "slammed"

I believe you can go 235/40/18 on these, however with the drop you may have issues, im sure someone will come along to confirm....

you want to ask @S3_OL

He has those wheels in that size with 225/40 tyres. Very very tight shock clearance, and on the limit of safe tyre stretch apparently

I'm running 225/40s on 9.5s all round, ET7 up front to clear the brakes and ET5 on the rear! Lol

@jojo with that et any lower and your arches would defo be your best friend haha!

Haha, believe it or not, with the shocks on the hardest setting, it doesnt catch the arches with normal driving, including going over speedbumps!
