Mono.pur

and just to veer even further off thread :)

@jassyo06 ..... lol @ the changing Miami Vice avatars ... I'm sure there is a story there somewhere ? :)

Loved the white Testarossa in the day - yes I was there when it was first aired and a fan, worn suit jackets with sleeves rolled up in the day :sunglasses:
Your a gent with great taste lol with tv's and programmes, but Nardo is a brave choice for anyone to choose,as for frickin Mono Pur the only way l would have have it would be with red stitching

cheers and its great we all like lots of the same things and have similar tastes.

As for mono pur and colours - its doing my head in now - and I still haven't even got a flippin build date !

I am tempted to ditch mono pur and put that money towards floret silver, but as I have already thrown £400 notes at changing the alloys from titanium matt to gloss black, I begrudge throwing another £550 at paint. So by ditching mono pur it would only be another £250 which is a bit easier to swallow.

Hmmm ..... I'll mull it over !

Colour of paint and colour of wheels can make or break it for me,anyway the grey alloys on my car don't go at all with sepang and the BSP.black Diamond cut alloys would look good, but ye don't get the choice as you well know mate
Feeling rufffff the day lol

only floret silver pic I can find with black alloys ...

Damn it does look good doesn't it.

Defo edging towards changing to floret chaps.

Now I've ticked the gloss black alloys I must have those as really love them.

Yeah you get the bigger front tyres with the black alloys too.

Silver does look good but reminds me of all the mundane silver cars Focus, Honda Mondeo in late 90's.. + some bad experiences with Southampton Vw who failed to colour match daughters 21 birthday present (silver Golf) ... Not top of my colour choice but it's all personal. I wouldn't pay for a private plate, but will pay for B&O...

I hear what you're saying but .....

You do need to see floret silver as its a very dark shade of silver.

I saw the old lighter silver (like the late 90's silver) next to floret and there's a big difference side by side.

It really is a cool colour.

Floret can look good but like the earlier Akoya silver will undoubtedly date. I just love black or dark grey or dark blue. Bristol Audi have a Mythos for sale on Audi.co.uk used cars..

I'm steering well clear of black and dark colours - had my fill !

Previous car was a black TTS and whilst it looked amazing clean OMG keeping it that way was impossible.
It was a constant battle against the elements and just a moddest rain shower would cover the car in water marks.
Totally disheartening.

I then though estoril blue would be better, but virtually just as bad.
It is a very dark blue, again looks spectacular clean, but for a clean car freak like me, its a nightmare !

Hence why I had gone nardo - but now considering silver (possibly even white)
I had a white TT a few years ago and that was great to look after so that & silver are where I am at the moment.

Wise words indeed!

I would have loved black in many ways..........but it's a young man's game. I'm pretty dedicated to keeping my baby clean but I don't even wanna think about the time I'd have to spend keeping a black car clean. To be blunt, I think my missus would leave me.......!!

Wife's Audi is Glacier...they all get dirty

Yeah they get dirty ........ but they don't immediately show a shed load of water marks after being stationary in a light shower of rain.

Black and dark colours do and done my head in the last few years :(

Not good for stone chips either !

Yes mate - its bad enough coughing up another £550 notes as it is without making it a further £grand on top for exclusive - gotta draw the line somewhere.

Crikey ... I didn't relaise this colour was being used by manufacturers outside of the VW group.

Hmmm it does look good on the Mini and Fiat.

Maybe it just doesn't flatter Skoda shapes then - as have seen an Octavia and didn't like that at all.

I don't think it looks good on slab sided designs (eg Skoda, S3, RS3 etc.) but that's just my opinion ;)
