Engine Light On - audi a3 1.9 2009

Hi everyone,

i have had the engine management light turn on recently. I got someone to carry out a diagnostic test and the code it gave was p0473 exhaust pressure sensor 1 g450 signal too high. Now the guy at the garage thinks even though it says sensor fault it is probably the dpf with the issue. He tried selling me a dpf cleaning kit but i am not sure exactly if the sensor needs replacing or the dpf is just clogged.

Replace the sensor and see if it cures it? It's a common fault as they fail quite regularly.
 
dpf cleaning kits are rubbish its a professional job getting one cleaned, will most likely be the sensor.
