I've had 3 new motors just to check it's not that. It's getting 14v to the motor. All the fuses are ok. It's as if it's a signalling fault. When you turn the ignition on then turn the heater on the motor will run for 2 seconds then it will cut out. Then turn the heater off and ignition off then keep repeating that it will keep going for 2 seconds each time. Car is a 2008 1.9 TDI 105. Thanks

Am I posting in the right area? I've made two threads and no one has replied. Surely someone knows something.

Double check everything at the motor first. Continuity test the earth of the connector to the negative battery terminal. Then test the supply voltage in relation to the earth of the plug. So assuming it has battery voltage and a good earth, test the signal voltage in relation to the earth connection while you turn on the ignition. If it gets voltage for 2 second and turns off then you know the motor is fine, the fault is elsewhere.

Sounds as if something like a temp sensor is telling it to turn off consistently after 2 seconds. Do you get any different activity regarding time scales if the temp is set very low or very high?

No, it's only 2 seconds regardless of temp or speed.

Ok, I have just ordered a new control panel to try. Cross fingers that's the problem.

I am having the same problem on the exact same car, did you resolve this issue?
