Yes, I was kind of expecting regular updates - as VCDS does, basically as "things" move on, it is very handy for doing "customise" stuff and some OBD2 engine fault codes, ie to have with you at all times, as opposed to your VCDS and lap//net computer which I mainly keep at home for serious stuff. One thing that concerns me is the "cop out" statement for all models it claims to cover, I am looking after a late 2009 Ibiza with the old 1.4 16V engine, Carista can scan that car okay - except it can't communicate with the engine controller or the ABS controller - VCDS can do that with that car, seems a lot more work needing to be done that Carista will probably walk away from and concentrate on what they have completed so far.
Oh, and Carista gets quite a few of the options in my early 2011 B8 S4 wrong, ie disabled instead of enabled, it works okay on customising the late 2009 Ibiza, but so far, nothing for customising wife's August 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110 SEL - all I get there is "door open indication - close door and try again" - which I suspect is "sorry can't work with that car yet"!
Edit:- I did send them a problem email due to having trouble using it initially, luckily I sorted that out as I got "zip" back from Carista!
