Firstly....Hi to you all

So....I have ordered my 1st S3 (for the second time) after owning x2 Audi TTs both in Coupe and Roadster models. To say I'm excited is an understatement!

Here's the spec:

Sportback
Manual
Brilliant Black
Black Styling Pack
Leather/Alcantara Lunar Silver
Privacy Glass
Comfort Pack
Interior Light Pack
Audi Audio System
Hold Assist
High Beam Assist
Electric Folding Mirrors
Non-Smoking Pack

BW is currently at 03 but still to be confirmed. So looking at March for pick-up day.

This is my second S3 I have ordered as the one I ordered back in Oct has just arrived with the wrong interior (dealer error)

Errors happen as we're only human, so I rejected the car and ordered this replacement

what was the error you occurred can I ask?

They ordered interior in black not Lunar Silver they offered me a discount on the car if I took it but I really fancied the Lunar so decided to reject it.

Dealership have added it into their stock and threw some freebies in on the new order.

Originally ordered in Misano Red (as is my current TT) but after going through 4 new cars the past 2.5 yrs (x3 of them red) thought red must be a jinx so decided on a change to black on the re-order

Hi hopefully you'll get what you want this time around ,my question/concern is, brilliant black paint it's extremely soft and marks very easily, mythos being a bit more durable would be a wiser move

I'm hoping so too...I hear you on the paint, and it's already booked in for a ceramic seal as soon as I pick it up

Daytona was one of my choices, but decided to go black for the first time

Oh jeezo....now I'm debating on dropping the Black Styling Pack and going for Daytona (Chrome looks better on Daytona) imo......

Sorry to hear you have had dealer order problems, had similar experience with mine (well documented on here).

Incorrect ordering happens to frequently, and is down to the bad computer system dealers have to use to order a car from Audi AG. They have to manually enter all the options in a very non user friendly IT system. When my second one was being ordered my dealer almost replicated the initial error but it was spotted by head of business before ordered was placed.

It's about time Audi invested in a program that can link the configurator code direct to the order system.

Anyway, hope you are satisfied with the compensation you received and that all goes well this time round. If It's gonna be March collection I would maybe hang out for new reg in April.

Btw liking solid black S3's very much having seen a couple on the road recently

As Jassy says Brilliant Black is probably the hardest colour to maintain whilst I'd say Daytona has to be one of the easiest..............food for thought if nothing else ;)

Whatever you decide I'm sure you'll enjoy

Good idea to try to get the dealer to leave the paint alone as well. Hard to do but have a look at the links to the detailer I used ( offset detailing,Essex) and see the scratches on several brand new cars. It is shocking.
My view , and what I did was budget for a pro detail (£400 to £500) with the best coatings and then keep on top if it yourself going forward.

Cracking car on order. I'll never buy black again. 2 that I have ordered in the past have both been 'Friday 5pm' cars. Never out the dealers. I'll stick to silver or white from now on. Although the Daytona is a lovely deep gloss colour.

Just dropped of my wife's black Mini Countryman CooperS All4 to my local detailer that's performing a professional ceramic seal on it, and he virtually just told me the same thing, to get them to leave it alone! Lol

I have to agree, I have it and it's hard work...but looks awesome when clean :) Why the move from the TT may I ask???

Lol....I'm a compulsive car buyer...gone through x2 MK7 golfs x1 GTD & a GTi and x2 TT's Coupe and Roadster all in the last 2.5 yrs. Changing my current TT (Roadster) as its not very practical

A top notch ceramic coating application will very near the price of metallic paint option,l just wouldn't dp flat paint again
Curious which ceramic detail is it?

Not heard of that one before,is it trade only?

Seems to be readily available, Amazon etc.....

Looks good stuff, I wonder how easy it is to apply..................only 30ml bottle doesn't sound much but I guess it must be enough??

Hi pal they all come in 30ml bottles gtechniq etc,it goes a long way l have about 10/12 ml left over from my kit but l only applied the stuff to the paint work some get everything covered inside/outside of the alloys etc
In hindsight l should have gone the gtechniq black quartz coating instead of the C1 but we live and learn

Any idea how this cquartz stuff compares to Gtechniq mate, or are they all much the same?

I take it the paintwork has to be nigh on immaculato before you stick these coatings on? ......which with the weather we're having now is gonna be a pretty tough gig!!

It ordered for my Christmas present from the in-laws. Will wait till spring before claying and applying it.

Paintwork back to bare clear coat. Polished if required then topped with the Cquartz.

The Application is the exact same as it would be applying C1, but l think these ceramic coatings take much longer to cure... like over night,so its got to be applied indoors with a ambient tempreture of around 23 degrees or more if you want it to cure faster

Looking at the Cquartz videos you apply the product using 3-4 drops on the applicator. Spread to even coat and wipe to a shine. No curing needed. That's what I liked about the product.

emm, I'm liking the sound of this stuff :)

It was @scotty76 that put me onto it. Great deal as well. £36 for the pack including a bottle of the Reload as well. :rockwoot:

No cure...time????...my ethos on this stuff is, the longer the cure time the longer it will stay on..Polish bliss do a ceramic quartz application...just short of £100 bangers....its on my short list

The nano-glass products are applied the same way. Apply evenly over the area crisscrossing the entire area then wipe the haze to a deep gloss shine.
I've watch the Gtechniq Ceramic ones getting applied. Those take time to cure etc and require indoor space. The Cquartz doesn't so you get the best of both worlds, hopefully. I'll tell you in April!
