im going to be running gasketless on my turbo to manifold, what's best to use to create a seal?

I've heard a layer of copper grease and exhaust paste.

Any recommendations please?

Many thanks

Holts firegum or rtv silicone sealant or copper grease maybe... Wouldnt want to use grease and wxhaust paste though.

But if both surfaces are machined flat you shouldnt need anything...

Pretty sure Bill was asking what turbo and mani. model.

Oh ko4 hybrid and pro4 port matched.

Gasket has blown about a week after refitting, can't get hold of a super gasket in time for refitting (being done under warranty) so going gasketless

Personally I wouldn't use anything just make sure the two surfaces are flat and clean and bolt them up you shouldn't get any leaks

Don't you have to make sure they're truly flat? As in machine them down?

You might get a slight blow when the engine is cold, but once the turbo and manifold have warmed up the leaks should seal as the materials expand

Oh i assumed you were getting them machined flat. Like truly properly flat. Not chinese pro4 flat. Id want to use some kind of sealant or look into sorting another gasket. The exhaust manifold pressures on these motors are ridiculous and tbh i would of thought any kind of sealant would just get blasted out...
