maybe a stupid question but what would happen if the passenger presses it by mistake while im driving?

And then the passenger ejects automatically from the car with two bruised eyes...
Well as a second option they can also pull on the handbrake on any car. Do you think a passenger is so stupid to put there's, other passengers, the drivers and other road users at risk?That would be bad in so many ways
Audi were too cheap to move the Engine Start/Stop button to the correct side of the car, for RHD 8V.

On a slight tangent to this, I distinctly remember my salesman telling me NOT to pull the EPB when going along at 70 mph.
Not that you would of course, but he mentioned it to me as someone had had queried what would happen if you did!
Anyway back to topic, I don't have the engine start/stop button in my car and so luckily this is one hazard I've avoided.

I would recommend trying it at a lower speed, say 20 or 30 mph, just so you know what it does, in case you ever needed it in an emergency!

In the event of an emergency braking manoeuvre with the parking brake, the vehicle can be braked considerably more effectively than with a conventional handbrake because the system communicates with the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) via the electronic stabilisation programme (ESP).
