Thought I would start a thread....even thought I haven't go t my car yet so can't post a pic...sorry lol....of the dealer plates everyone has received upon collection of there car...and there fixing type eg screws...sticky pads...plate surrounds ect
As when I get mine I don't want a screw anywere near my plates and will be telling the dealer this well in advance...
I'm hoping for plain plates and no screws....hopefully they will listen!

Front is with sticky pads.

Rear is a snazzy frame that clicks open to slide in/out the alu euro style plates we have over here! Buggers trapping water they are though.

Mine came with drilled plates :sadlike:. So when I put my own on I had to sand the front down a bit to remove the drill holes, to stick my new ones on with sticky pads.

I aint that Anal....number plate is a number plate...think the front plate looks cool....Audi do a good job in my opinion...standard does me

They told me they had to screw the plates to the car as they aren't allowed to let it leave with sticky plates on! I told them that I didn't want screws in my Ultratek plates, so they put normal ones on....as soon as I got home I switched them around for my Ultratek plates with sticky pads (Which they supplied!!!).

Did you speak to Chris about the Ultratek's???

Yours will be the same as as these, you can see they have their name/website on a big black lip along the bottom, at each end there is a nasty bit of very cheap looking plastic/cover that looks like it should peel off...but it doesn't, it just flaps around! :puke2:

Plates close

Clean look with no lip/flag/screws is better:

Clean

Us Scots that buy their cars up here don't have the GB/Blue...part to the plate...so its a lot cleaner looking, nor do we have that horrid extended dealership black..advertisement at the bottom...hence l am happy with my plates

Requested my Dealer stick the no. plates on. No screws & no blue GB/EU blue flash either

Didn't seem a problem for the Dealer to arrange TBH

Am going there 2moro buddy to pick up a few things so gonna have a word!

Mine are always stuck on to the car with 3M sticky pads, both front and rear. I always have EU/GB plates rather than have to put a GB plate on the car when I go to Germany. I also mention that I don't want any number plate surrounds, lipped number plates, 'Vindis' sticker on the rear of the car and dealer strip in the back window. Even the dealer name and post code as required by law as the number plate supplier is in very small lettering on the plates. All just as I want them.

My wife recently gave exactly the same details to the VW dealer (also a branch of Vindis) for the plates for her new Polo and again she got just what she wanted. When they are making up plates with a private number they have to be specially ordered or made anyway and not just taken from their stock of pre-made plates.

Haha....spoke to them about plates...they said they will order me a set of them plates like yours...and when I arrive will allow me to stick them in myself as said I do not want any drill holes!!!!
Bought a boot liner...front and rear rubber mats and touch up paint...also whilst there tried my seat cover on the super sport seats and it fits perfect..so all in all a good visit

Nice one, how much were the rubber mats? Thinking of getting some to protect my custom made ones over winter :)

Between us bet they think we are right pains in the a**e lol :) Be warned that the slightest touch with the sticky pads holds like anything, so make sure they are straight when you make contact with the car ;)

PS: Are they taking your Fiesta off you?
