that would make me cry! I always parallel park into spaces as once I caught the front wheel of the tt rs.
A good wheel repairer should be able to sort re cut and re lacquer, a lathe will have to be used, will cost around £100

It was a narrow street so I had to pull close to the kerb as otherwise I'd have had people hitting the wing mirror! I looked to be far enough away to miss the kerb but obviously not

There is just nothing worse than this feeling .
It can be reperaird, either built up as a smart repair (which are getting better for diamond cut), or for a proper repair - lathed as mentioned above (but this will flatten out the wheel, and can only be done twice).
This is one of the reasons, that while i think the standard alloys don't look as good, i may tick them, i just hate the maintenance of diamond cut.

Mysteriously did mine the other day. Was gutted. And obviously blamed the Mrs lol. Anyway, I hate kerbed alloys and had to removed the wheel that minute and take it down to Audi. Sorted it in one day with a smart repair. Mine was only minor though.

I feel for you all. It's a pain that tyres don't have an element of protection on the edge as they used to. Have seen 'Ali gators ' which offer some protection but look a bit naff.. like stabilisers on a kids bike, just look like you can't park/drive/ride properly.
It's a well known fact diamond cut alloys attract kerbs better than any other alloy. Had them on a previous car and would never have any more, they are just a liability even if you don't kerb them they seem to have issues

So sorry for your curbed alloys - that is horrible to see.
They can be repaired though and repaired extremely well if you get the right company.
So the pain will soon go, it will then just be your wallet which is hurt.

Use those wheels as winter wheels and get a set that vastly improve the look of the car for the spring/summer.
The rotors do nothing for the look of the car IMO.
Audi V Spokes would do the trick.

That's cheap only £65? Here it costs about £130 - £140!!! This is in Sweden and I think that UK is better and cheaper than us upnorth

Think the diamond rotors two tone are likely to be costly. When I sold my S3 recently got stung nearly £800 for 4 tyres and 3 refurbs (2 very minor)
Ok, but mine are just silver (original). Now I switched to winter aftermarkets two coloured wheels but still looks like origin but cheaper, hopefully nothing happens to them now? These two colored rotor wheels I have had on both A5 before so nothing new there and didn't happen anything with them.
So I have also just ran my wheel across a kerb...gutted! It's only very light scuff marks, any suggestions? Will it be an easy quick repair or will I need the whole wheel refurbished?

It took the guy about a hour to do mine in the driveway. If its a light scuff i would presume pretty much the same.
I used www.ultimatewheelz.co.uk he charged £65 to do mine.
How reliable are aftermarket wheels. Do they meet same safety standards? Have also read stories about Insurances companies not liking them or refusing cover. So many questions?? Any answers appreciated.
In Sweden its okay with aftermarkets wheels even with insurance companies. Standards with rims are that paint isn`t as hard as the origin so have to be a little more carefully there and they are not for winter use at first place but I attend to keep the car for 3 years. For the record: Audi has origin rotor rims with paint that are for winter use but they are expensive. I have 3mm spacer on front axle because of the big calipers. Hopefully I don`t need spacers next winter? I have also standard 235/35-19 with Nokian WR A3 friction tires.
As a comparison I weighed the wheel and compared it with the original and aftermarket wheel weighed 300 grams less which was little interesting because I checked forums and other places where people were complaining about increased weight. I was pleasantly surprised. Otherwise it looks like origin RS3 rims and it works very well.

What ET size are the Rotor's?
MKII should be ET 49 and I have ET 44 on aftermarkets rotors with 3 mm spacer because I think these rims are actually for the MKI and therefore it needs spacers to pass the big rotors.

You are not stupid of course. But 1wheelonly is right because its like he says ET 41 now and its because of the big rotors. When I use the brakes more say until next winter I can maybe get it working whitout spacers. Now it doesn't work without spacers 3 mm but if you order origin rims for RS3 for topdollar at Audi it works as well without spacers. I don't want to pay as much for wintertires so therefore I choosed to go aftermarket rims for much less money and tires wher also cheaper compared.
Yes I think also I had manage whitout spacers if I had ordered ET 35 but I went for ET 44 so there is a difference about 9 mm and that had been enough probably. Allthough I am counting with the solution to not use spacers
