Has anyone with a March 2015 onwards S3 had a REVO map yet?

Mine was week 6 just got in there !!!

Some March/April cars MIGHT be ok but certainly May onwards have the new ECU encryption.

Mine was ordered jan 11 2015,picked up on march 24th,how do I know if it has the new ECU encryption?

So whats the power gains from a stage 1 map? and the 0-60s?

and whats the difference with the REVO and APR maps or are they essentially the same?

Think it's around 350-375 bhp.
Revo say 0-60 3.7sec. I'm led to believe that using there hi flow intake you will achieve the highest gains.

When I inquired they told me the only way was to try it and see - luckily they were at one of the VAG shows I went to so had it done there. They have a dealer map on their site so might be worth checking to see where the nearest one to you is.

Has anyone achieved these 0-60s this would be quicker then my mates M4 would love to get it done then drag race him, the look on his face would be priceless

Mine will easily take my mates S5 usually I short shift to 60 changing at 4K rpm even then it's very quick !

I've just put an MTM M-Cantronic on mine, and as Rob says, the car is transformed. Gets into three figures pretty frighteningly quickly, and the sweet spot as you pull out of a corner is awesome. Not really had any run-ins so can't comment on comparisons - apart from the new 911 that couldn't shake me off the other night...

Go with MTM and pay a bit more if you have warranty concerns... They offer their own should Audi not cover it.

So am i right in saying the later 15 reg cars have a harder ecu to map? Mine was registered in june this year, knowing my luck i will have the done it the hard way lol

Yeah different encryption that nobody has cracked yet. APR/Revo keep saying they are close but its been months!

Does anyone know what is the reason for the different encryption with the later 15 models, is it an attempt by Audi to specifically make it harder to map the Ecu?

Not 100% sure did they change supplier ?

REVO told me yesterday it's still not been done. I raced one this morning with a DTUK box and it was a lot quicker.

The Revo one isn't out so I wouldn't know but the DTUK was a lot faster than my standard S3

Are you saying you raced a standard S3 with you're S3 with DTUK box fitted ? Revo is available up to March 2015 models. It looked like you were saying you raced an S3 with Revo software that's all mate.

No mines standard mate. I met someone on here with the DTUK. We met up this morning and had a test . He was considerably quicker than me

These things shift as it is but even a box or stage 1 will be very impressive Revo emailed me saying they still haven't cracked ecu yet. Not sure weather to wait for it or a box.

Haha yeah I was thinking the same. I'm probably going to wait and get REVO and the SPS switch. Oh and hi-flow sports intake ha. Then later get the down pipe and get stage 2 for free. :rockwoot:

ive just had a reply from QStuning and apparently they do the MTM M-cantronic box which will give you 60bhp for £948.10+vat and apparently doesn't effect your audi warranty and only takes 2mins to fit/remove....think I might go for that just for the warranty side of things.

I'm temoted by the add on box route as I'd like to keep my warranty

This sounds good to me. The Warranty is the only draw back for me. Well worth the extra 600/700 pound in my opinion

Well you actually have to unplug it before you take it back to audi and make sure you dont leave it in the car for them to see lol

Prob also worth running the car standard for a week too in order to clear the boost logs - they recommend you do this when having the standard map put on too.

You also have something physical that you can fit/remove and sell when it comes to changing the car ;o)

QS Quoted me GB 1192.16 plus VAT yesterday... but did ask when I wanted it done, which might have resulted in a discount if I had said "this week" who knows?

Maybe some Black Friday, Cyber Monday bobbins??

Kim's made a typo in that reply. The correct prices for QST can be found here --> link

I had an M-Cantronic fitted to my S1 yesterday by Kim. I can't speak highly enough of it after trying a Burger Motorsports JB1.
