Hi, I've been doing some research on the possible install of a double din on my s3 8l. I wasn't planning on it but I did my Fabia vRS with a mfd1 yesterday and it went so easy and looks great I want to do it to the Audi.

I'm not looking for an Audi unit specifically, any decent aftermarket unit will be ok. Just want to make sure that's it's possible and relatively easy as I have the Bose sound system.

I have seen people say it's ok and others say it's awful to do - what about connects2 kits?

Don't want to be messing around too much with the wiring either just want rid of the tape player!!

Thanks in advance

I'm also keen to remove tape player and have bluetooth/nav DD but id like to keep the use of my sub etc (bose) system.

So I'm interested to hear the feedback on this,

Cheers,

I had the connects kit and that was good. I then upgraded to a pioneer CarPlay double din head unit. Had to a do a fair bit of work to get it to fit though including an a4 fascia and a lot of dremeling. Do you have a single din to start with?
