I am currently trying to sort out the rough idle on my A3 s-line 2.0 Tdi (BKD)
I have borrowed a lead from a user on here to check some values after reading up on this quite a bit and it seems I may need to adjust my front cam but I am wondering if someone can have a look at the VCDS readings for me to confirm this.
I have taken 3 snap shots of the readings from measuring blocks 4,13 and 15
Do the injector quantities seem ok?
Should the torsion value be 0?
And I believe my engine torque is too low at idle as is my fuel consumption.
These readings were all taken with engine at normal operating temperature, also the rpm at idle constantly fluctuates between 819 and 840 rpm.
Symptoms I have are a slight hard start, juddering at idle and extremely good fuel consumption which all seem to point to bad cam timing.
So basically the question is is it just the front cam that will need adjustment and which way?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
