Had a shocker tonight, driving home as you do and feel around the wheel, only to feel these "scratches". Turned on the light to see (as it was dark) and saw that somehow there are 3 scratches on the wheel, took a few photos when I got home. I don't know how they got there, unless I did it by mistake, was wearing a leather jacket and I can only think that must have caused them, gutted! So does anyone have any "suggestions"? A new wheel isn't a good answer ;), cars on pcp hoping to swap to an S3 in the future.

You'll need to get it retrimmed, costs anywhere from £175 - £300.

A dealer did that on my new car and I insisted on a new wheel :whip:

I'm struggling to see how that could be caused by a leather jacket unless it's far too big for you..................more likely a ring?

It looks like it was from the jacket zip, I did something similar a few years ago. You can try something like a coloured leather polish or the product sleeves_008 suggested might be worth a go.

I wear my work ID badge on my belt and have to be careful that it doesn't get caught on the wheel when getting out of the car, especially as trying to get out without creasing the seat bolster.

Could be a zip, belt buckle or something like that?
