Thinkin iam going to swap head for large port agu ino i will have to put the vvt back on to the agu head but apart from doing that is there anything else that i need to do. Are the inlet and outlets the same....fitting it to bam 225...thx...

Running stock turbo..i think my head is cracked not 100% sure. I waz just goin to swap for agu as there easer to come by.. thats only reason

why are you changing fella?
you going for big power because if not keep your head

So if mines cracked.. you say go for the same as wot its got ie bam head..cuz i am keepin car standard jus that iam finding it hard to get a bam head.

Just that ive seen this on ebay fort it wud do the job.. 272036959212

any 1.8t head will work you just have to swap the vvt over.
Agu only give gains over 400 bhp from what I'm led to believe.
and I "think" torque can suffer with lower spec cars with large port
so check it out!!!!

Ok cheers for the info..
If i go with the agu is there a noticable power loss if any on a standard car..thx

please double check but I'm sure this is correct.
also you will pay a premium for the agu which will gain nothing.

If you're not tuning the ******** off it then it wont be beneficial.
Some have reported their cars feeling flat following a large port head with no tuning for it.
Its only a mod for bigger blowers moving greater volumes of air.

Bottom line, try and get any other small port head. Avoid AGU and AEB codes. Don't be stung for BAM tax either.

You will need to:
swap VVT onto non-vvt heads
swap cams on non-turbo heads
swap valve spring shims on non-ko4 heads
swap Cam position sensor on some heads (unsure which sorry, this is easy to visually identify tho)
swap Cam sprocket on longitudinal heads.
Block SAI on early sai heads.

Consult with the forum if you're unsure of anything once you get hold of one.

Thank you for that its a big help...
Which are the engine codes that i wudnt av to swap anything apart from vvt if needed to

The simplest ones would be cars with a ko4, so you have the S3s which are BAM, AMK, APY. Then there are 225 TT which have one other engine code which I think might be APX or something.

There's a list of engine codes in the FAQs somewhere:
