They look more like winter tyres with the sipes in the tread block.

Anyway apart from that i have Uniroyal Rainsports (not like the pic not) on the front of my A3 1.9 tdi q and love them, they have done 21k and are down to about 4mm they still grip wet or dry and i don't drive like a vicar, great rubber imo

I got some for the Wifes Astra a few months ago and im really impressed with them, the grip and handling on them is great. Good value for money i say :)

I've got a pair on the rear on my S3 as it needed them when I first bought it, they seem pretty good so far. I've always used Rainsport 2's on previous front wheel drive TDI cars and I rated them given the price is always competitive and they cope well with the torque even in the wet. My local tyre fitter uses them on his Impreza and rates the Rainsport 2's above the 3's, but I can't remember his explanation of why he didn't like the tread pattern on the 3's...

Well,4 now fitted and will see how they do. First time the car has had 4 matching tyre's so it will be interesting to see how they perform.
Great service from camskill !!!! Ordered 13.30 and arrived 11am.

Cheers
Mark

PS they do look good.

They are a very soft tyre and dont last long, as per my previous post, they are a great tyre for grip, but they just dont perform or last long.

On the Astra we barely got 8k out of them and that was just normal driving.

Great tyres on my wife's mx5 long lasting and stick to the road reasonable price

If you just want a quality tyre at a good price for normal driving duties then this is a good choice. My next door neighbours have 2 cars with these all round a mini that was originally on run flats and a Kia Sportage that has had the original Kuhmo tyres replaced with Uniroyals.
Andy is really happy with them . If you want a tyre on a car that you want to push around a bit and explore the limits I would look at something like the Goodyear Eagle F1, Great all round tyre .
