So i cleaned my front screen and applied some angelwax h2go. Dont think i cleaned it off properly but at the time it looked ok. Then i put some jetseal over it. Looked good at the time.

The following morning i could see streak marks all over the screen when it was wet. Applyin the wipers didnt help. And i cant see too much out of it. Conplete mess. My fault.

Ive cleaned it with an all purpose cleaner whoch didnt do anything. Iv used angel wax stripease to get the sealants off but the streaks are still there.

With winter and the rain i could really do with sorting this. Any ideas on how to get it off?

Really need the help

@Adam_A3_ - Jetseal on glass is the prob there. Using the wipers after you've applied it won't have helped the smearing either me thinks

First off I would try some neat APC. If that doesn't work try something like a strong mix of Fairy Liquid to try and clean, but keep it on the windscreen as it will remove your LSP on the bodywork too

Still no joy after this lot? Then I would move onto a de-tarring product. Something like Auto Finesses Oblitarate. I would be surprised if that's doesn't work TBH but if it doesn't, then a de-iron product. Something like CarPro Iron-X will shift it all. Just make sure you keep all these products on the glass and not the bodywork

When you've got all the gunge off the windscreen, you'll need to clean the wiper blades otherwise your just putting the gunge back on. Clean the blades with the AW striptease. You may need to buy some new wiper blades. Just see how it goes

Good luck!

In my experience tardis and iron X do not effect wax/sealant. Neither does fairly liquid it just coats the car giving the illusion that the wax is gone as it will lose its hydrophobic properties.

Neat apc, clay or machine polish it should do the trick.

Every time I have used tardis / iron x it has stripped any wax/sealent I have applied previousley
Just goes to show Detailing is a very subjective matter @ScottHannah

Tried everything suggested above. Nothing took it off. Then followed the cutting advice, went over it a few times with a cutting pad and polish. Glad to say its gone. Some light marring here and there though. Not re applied any sealant until the weather better. Many thanks

Good to hear. Just don't re-apply any Jetseal (not to the glass anyway)

So jetseal. Theres a video on the chemical guys channel where they apply jetseal as a window sealant?

Its been a dreaded week with no rain repellant on the screen. Going to do it this week.

Any guidance on how to do it properly?

I never really use it but apply, buff with a fresh towel then rebuff with another towel. Glass is torture lol.

Start with a perfectly clean screen. Clay is a good start.
