More Problems for S3 and TT-S Experience

Riiiiiight. Unfortunately problems are NOT fixed. Took a 70 mile round trip earlier today and it occurred at least 5 times and then twice again tonight. Looks like it'll be going back to the garage again :/

Oh ***. That is horrible news mate!! Thought with the new coils that was you back on to happy motoring.. what a complete PITA for you. :-(

Yeah, pretty peeved TBH. Plus, probably because I'm paying more attention but now have a persistent crackle from the sunroof. So had enough of this car!!

Its a pretty bad feeling when you get to that stage with a car! Is it too late to reject the car?? Surely you have an excellent case for it now!! :-(

It's horrible. I now hate the car. I don't know if it's too late to reject but under the consumer credit act in the uk (sections 99/100) it looks like you can walk away after half the payments have been made. I am seriously considering using that angle and let them deal with the negative equity.

This morning I've also spotted some knocks when start/stop is activated (I normally have it off but forgot this morning). Can anyone confirm if this is normal or yet another problem? Attached a video (need volume up of course).

Was a genuine question, although from your response it sounds like it very much is not normal. I just never have the start/stop on so wasn't sure what to expect. I've emailed my dealer again as I only had the car back on Friday. It's gone well beyond a joke. I have Audi UK calling me (again) on Wednesday/Thursday but their general response is 'talk to the dealer'.

Do you guys have lemon laws in the UK?

I don't think so. Shame really, as this one definitely qualifies.

As Simon says a swift kick to the nuts for everyone involved i think...
that new noise is certainly not normal...
on the plus side at least your start/stop actually kicks in..lol

Yeah I know it was a genuine question, wasn't trying to take the mick..................and appreciate you've had a gut full already.

Yes I was confirming it should not sound like that.

So, plugging the car into VCDS and all four cylinders are misfiring sporadically. Took a log and shared with Audi (at their request) as they seem unable to diagnose.

More waiting.

In the meantime, I have agreed to a significant increase in payments to get out of the S3 and into a TTS. Dealer has basically written off my negative equity so can't complain too much.

That sucks, mine also went back in (got an S3 loan this time) seems ok now, was perfect before I gave it in for service...10 years of Audi's and I never had a good service. They even falsified mileage and won't go back on their phone logs to see I'm telling the truth.

You could technically go down the rejection route, if you have the energy and ability and time to research it's worth doing, plus emailing more senior people in Audi (Google search or ask I can find) with a clear coherent story, with evidence and in line with laws.

On the other hand if you're happy to move to a new car with more payments then good luck.

I've had a few Audi's and all been fine. This has been the worst possible experience - just non-stop problems. I checked sections 99 and 100 of the consumer credit act and I'm fairly certain I can terminate the agreement after I've made half the payments without any further payment - but might be very stressful. But the way I look at it, the deal they've offered for the TTS effectively does the same thing, and then throws a little discount in too - so kinda gets me to the same point but without the hassle.

In the meantime Audi are discussing amongst themselves how they can fix (or further mess up) the S3.

Edit: That was the old consumer credit act - not seen anything in the new one yet :/

You can walk away from the PCP/finance agreement once half the monies has been paid.

They (dealers) make it sound like they are doing you a favour (you can hand the car back at the end of the PCP and walk away), actually, its the CCA that enables this!

That's what I understood. I think they are desperate to avoid that, which is why they are basically doing the same deal but without the stress. I guess they'd rather have one more sale to counteract the lemon they are taking in.
