Just Ordered- A6 Black Edition

Just thought id check in!

Ive just ordered my A6 Black edition, the car is a 63 plate with 20,000 miles and is like new, not a mark on it.

Collection date is 21st November... Which is conveniently my birthday.

Its the 2.0tdi, cant get insurance on anything else, im only 19
 
Nice. Top colour and BE is the best spec. Enjoy pal.
 
Yeah, bit of a jump from my ibiza cupra the only thing wrong with it is i couldnt get the big screen. But it was out of my budget.

Cheers, how long do audi usually take to confirm finance approval?
 
The dealer what quite surprised when i said i want an a6 and not an s3 or similar.

I just like big cars (The GF says im making up for things, whatever she means by that)

Also, on the doors the inserts were normal leather not alcantara? Is this standard and the alcantara extra or is it cause its pre-facelift?

Im not fussed i prefer the normal leather
 
Nicely done... and doing well at only 19 fella! Apart from the lovely looks with the awesome wheels... do yourself a favour and ensure that you have all of your music in lossless audio format or even CDs (yes CDs... if you're not too young to remember! :) ) - when I got my Black Edition with the Bose sound system I was initially disappointed, but I was playing MP3s at about 128/192 kbps... lossless audio REALLy makes the Bose system stand out. Enjoy... the next couple of weeks will drag as you wait!
 
I get most of my music from spotify so was going to bluetooth stream it, I understand thats a sin in the bluetooth world! But im too lazy to carry that many CD's with me!

Ill probs used the SD card slot often, did you give the system time to loosen up? It could be that?

Bluetooth is surprisingly good... I think that'll be fine... it was when I used Spotify streaming across Bluetooth that I suddenly realised how terrible my MP3s were actually sounding!

Pete - what did you mean by "lossless", will the MMI units play FLAC files?!? I sync'd all mine with Google Music manager... so even those that were originally ripped at ~128kbps (15 years ago) have now come back down at 320kbps.... I hadn't even thought to try ripping FLAC files and playing those as I assumed they wouldn't play....​

awaiting a very similar car with same mileage coming my way.

one came into my local garage last week in scotland and was snapped up right away
 
Sold my old one now so the collection date should be getting moved forward to this friday

Does anybody get a rattle from the rear shelf with the bose sub? My dads old a4 used to rattle with deep bass, do these??

I hope not but i didnt plan any deep bass tracks when test driving the hifi, i am 19 so do often bump along to tyga
 
Wow - great car for 19. Just check the whole engine recall situation first. The 2lt A6 engines were included.

Parcel shelf doesn't rattle - there should be no rattles anywhere in the car. You are likely to see the rear view mirror vibrate slightly depending upon the bass. FWIW - the bass is much more detailed in the Saloon than Avant.

Hi there... yep FLAC is supported... but this is in my new (May '15) A6 with MMI Navigation Plus... not sure if that makes a difference. It's confirmed on Page 34 of the instruction manual - I know I know, us blokes should never ever consult an instruction manual... but I wanted to double check! :) The sound is SO much better. I have a mixture of FLAC and WMA Lossless playing from a 64Gb SSD.
 
Mine doesnt have the colour DIS... What do the satnav directions look like on it?

Alcantara door trim on S-Line was a MY16 (cars built late May 2015 onwards) change. One of the very few changes to the A6 for this year (no surprise as it was so soon after the facelift)
 
Ive collect it...

So far, ive noticed one of the front speakers is blown, its makes a horrible noise at some of the higher frequencies, kinda like its vibrating badly....

Apart from that, i love it
