just wondering if the golf gti downpipe is the same as the audi s3 just looking to buy a cheap one from ebay as i had this on my old gti and done the job perfect but dont know if there is a slight difference due to the propshaft

i was sure the only difference between exhausts was the backbox because of the rear diff etc, ive had a look on the milltek website and the part numbers for the s3 downpipe and the gti downpipe are the same so im a bit confused

Same part number same fitment?! Is it much cheaper?

I only used the miltek as an example to match the part numbers the one I'm looking at on eBay is only £140 so yeah quite a bit cheaper if it does fit, the car already has a miltek sports cat and the quality isn't the best tbh, this "budget" one I had on my old gti was really good

The FWD standard downpipe is different to the 4wd I`m afraid.

Milltek have designed the downpipe to fit down platforms.

i've read somewhere that the downpipes were the same, also milltek codes for both are the same also.

Not all aftermarket are the same. E.g. APR have different downpipes
