So after a very long and stressful time trying to work out what wheels I wanted for the cab I have finally settled on some new wheels.

Only initially wanted them for winter but like them so much I will be getting them re-furbed after winter for next year.

They are 20" and 8.5j front et35 and 9.5j rear et35. Rear arches need a bit of love to ease them under a bit more but very happy with them.

Ooooooooft, what are you using for tyres, Elastic bands?? Lol

That's stunning!

They suit that to the ground! Looks great. 20"s normally look too big and a little silly imho on the b6 but they just look great, probably cos the lip where the split is makes them look a touch smaller. Good work

Super stance and look!

Those Carlsson Merc wheels look the business. All you need now is an Audi Centre cap :p

Will/Are you still running 235/30 all away around?

Im 235/30/20 all around on the 9j's but will go for 255 on the next set to get more tread as well as loose the stretch look. (Constantly having to put air back in the front 2 tyres as a result of going over pot holes etc on rough roads)

Thanks all :)

No running 225/30s all round like I did on the Bentleys. 9.5j would not fit with 235's on as it touches a tad as it is hence the need to roll/flare them slightly just to give them some more clearance. Have raised it a tad until the arch roller turns up this week.

Ah, I see.

Thanks for the info. Its true about different tyres having different tread not to mention stretch tolerances, as your 225/30's look stretched but not ridiculously on your current wheels above.

Whilst my Nangkang NSII trues are excellent, the stretch is crazy. Im 235/30 wrapped over 9J's.

Just out of interest, I keep my PSI around 45 for all 4. (max of 51) What about you?

just bought this as a stop gap car to run around in for my Mrs.... But thought it would be fun to get it some new wheels (bigger or much bigger) and give it some attitude.I had thought lamborghini gallardo wheels would be the best option...but her indoors had other ideas. I haven't got a huge amount of money to play with and I live in the **** end of nowhere so can't pick anything up locally. I also have a load of problems with it to sort out. But any suggestions very welcome. I'm particularly interested in what might fill those huge arches on it without having to do a load of suspension work to make it look right. :)

Hello Mate,

A lot of friendly guys on here that will be happy to help you but may be worth posting in the usual spot as this one is usually for pics only.

Yes, the b6 and b7 Audis have big arches with fresh air waiting to be filled haha.

To kick things off either go for 19inch wheels or if you're very brave you can do 20's like I have. Thats the 1st thing to decide. Look on Google for example pics to decide. After that, decide what thickness you want the wheel and how far it 'sits' towards the arch gap.

I suggest a 9 inch wheel thickness with an ET of 35. You cant go wrong with this! No need for spacers and they always look 'mean'. If you want to fill the arch gap..then get it lowered by a certain amount of MM that you like.

If you get stuck, post in the B6 section and memebers will help.

Got the car cleaned over the weekend.
I simply had to take this photo as the shine on my car caught the street lamp so well.

I know man! Not bad for AG tar remover, cheap turtle wax polish as I have nothing better atm & two coats of AG Gloss protector!

Nice one! Ive never used the AG Tar remover. I will have to get a bottle as ive got tiny little bits of tar around muy side skirts which I cant seem to get off.

Lovely finish on yours.

Yeah I've used it twice or something. A few months ago a local road got resurfaced and covered my car in a lot of tar that wouldn't budge! Gone now though haha!

Is there such a thing as bead'ography lol
They are big because the wax is wearing off. A fresh coat will look more like barkclarks.
Means another coat ;)
Wait until it freezes they look even better

Still very good beading for a months old wax though!

Up here in Scotland it shouldn't be too long until the beading freezes over!

this is my old girl only had her about 2 weeks
