Not to shabby on a 92 mile journey to work today!! kept it at 60 mph. So glad I had it remapped

Just traded my A4 for an A3 TFSI, current mpg on my work commute 25mpg  - the downside of having a lead foot

What BHP are you getting after a remap?

I think mine will do from 197 to 240 on a stage 1

I had mine remapped at Storm Developments and they said it goes to 260 ish!! I think more like 240 ish to be fair but goes really well.
Ive done 10k miles on it now and I'm really pleased.
I travel to Romford and back from near Didcot and if I drive at the speed limit I get 34 mpg. At 65mph I get 38mpg and today with the wind behind me at 60mph, 41mpg!!

This car has also been to Storm but some of you will know this one .....

That's an average figure...with a twist

Not sure what average I was at but the other day I drove to Peterborough and back (80 miles) and it still said I had 365 miles remaining to a tank which isn't too shabby for a tuned S3.

Shouldn't that be 8.3 S3Alex knowing what you've got under the bonnet!! :respekt:

It's a little joke......the ECU is telling porkies to the display...divide it by 4 and it's about right!
One of the little things that needs to be sorted when it goes for it's next service.

stage 1 from rick, put mine at 255 dyno'd and that was with a slight boost leak also.

i only get about 25mpg, how the hell do you get 40+ !!!

I'm averaging 20-22 on the commute to work........ standard s3.

I'm more concerned as to how you're getting Kisstory on an FM signal......?

But to keep it on thread I'm getting 360 per tank of V-Power with some Banzai motorway and runs and small bit in town, but the majority being motorway 70mph. If I take it easy it's more like 400. Still think my car is down on power, changed DV but slight dump valve sound makes me think a boost hose is leaking so that may be a potential improvement when fixed. No remap, standard air filter 2.0TFSi Quattro 55 plate 3 door.

Ok, getting 40+ mpg is easy if you drive very carefully. I don't go above 1800 rpm before changing gear, I don't let the turbo spool up and don't accelerate hard. I also (to get a few more mpg) dip the clutch and coast down big hills that dont slow me down.
I know this makes me sound really old and slow but with my 92 miles to work and 92 miles back home and only being paid 30p per mile, it makes sense to me. On a weekend when times allow I can get 22 mpg whilst having fun :)
Kisstory through FM is courtesy of a AutoDAB system that uses FM to play through. Great bit of equipment. Have faultless DAB integrated into my car now.

Shows a good overall average for just over a years worth of motoring. Still very happy considering in this period its gone from a standard 265bhp to just over 400bhp and can still get 38mpg if I drive very carefully. But who wants that :relaxed:

I'd get more than 40mpg doing 90/95 on the motorway lol. My fuel economy goes out of the window after 3000rpm in 6th which is around 98mph

I'm more concerned that I've done 7500 miles in 2 months and 25 days!!
I only work 3 days a week!!!!!!!

Not bad going I know I average about 39mpg when I drive up to Cambria every year. I'm changing jobs in a months time and my commute will be going from two miles a day every other week to 50 miles a day. Just had a new clutch fitted too so I could map it to Stage 2+ but now may need to get rid!

In a works MK5 Golf GT TDi I average 60-65mpg I love how little fuel it uses!

I regularly get v close to 450 miles per tank. 2.0TFSI remapped stage 1. Other than it being a long trip to work (100 miles return), I have a perfect drive for economy. A1 and A roads with 60 limit. I do tend to cruise at 65 on the A1 due to traffic and it being a long journey. Use V Power or Momentum and have seen a small increase - say 20-40 miles per tank after the remap.

Ive just filled up after 2 round trips. 360 miles, 39.24 litres
41.7 mpg..... quite pleased with that!!
