I am in need in of some disc and pads soon, so seen as the need doing i might as well have a look at upgrading to S4 or 312mm.

What does everyone recommend ?

Or stick to what i have just upgrade to drilled and grooved?

S4 genuine discs and pads. If you find you need more than that. I'll eat my own johnthomas.

I went to B8 S4 up front and I f*****g love how well it stops now!!!

Had to use B7 S4 discs though but calipers bolt straight up

I have a spare set of S4 B8 front calipers with yellow stuff pads if anybody is interested (message me an reasonable offer)

I'm also due a change of discs...think I'm running 288mm b6 1.9 TDI quattro. Anyone know what's involved in changing to the 320mm of a 2.0 tfsi b7 or am I better sticking to 312mm...sorry for jumping in ruffrida....

You better go to 320mm brakes as the 312mm won't feel any better on your car. If you're interested i have a pair of 320 mm front calipers, you just need new discs and pads to be honest...

^ Shameless plug , lol .

312mm is definitely an upgrade from 288 mm you can notice .

That said , bigger discs are better .

These on eBay seem to be fairly cheap, a good tidy up and they could be a bargain?? If they fit that is!? Item number 221910931932

To be honest i have 312mm brakes as well but they will not offer the increased braking power the 320mm brakes will ! The 320mm will stop 300bhp without much bother and there is scope for increase by using the s4 carriers for 345mm increase whilst keeping the same caliper !
I broke a few b6 cars so i still have loads of spares but not enough time to list them all...

You don't have to convince me , I have a 1275 kg car with 345mm and 320 mm rear all with Wilwood 4 pots .
