Reading so much on oil etc.

My 1999 S3 (Recently purchased) has 175k but has been very well maintained.

I am going to service next week and leaning toward Mobil 1 0W40 any recommendations??

Depends what actual products your on about !

Naa , the latest and best oil now is a 0W20 , LMFAO .
 
5W40 with a decent oil filter with non return valve, such as K&N, Bosch and the like.
