i ordered my s3 with the oem v spokes, and went as far as buying the rs4 reps to have a more concave face in a 19x8.5 +42 - the oem wheels were too flat faced in a 19x8.0

i was about to do same with a set of rotor reps in a 19x8.5+45 for the rs3, but open seeing the oem rs3 and reps in flesh side by side, they are different designs. the oem rs3 wheel looks more modern with more angling on the spokes. the machined edge is also more defined

ill just add some spacers to get the stance right

Agree they are slightly different, but when compared to what other countries are being offered for alternatives, the U.K. Just get offered the same style of wheel, in different colours

At least the rims are 19" as standard though ... That's something !

Were they 18"or 19" on the old RS3 3

I think that is more due to necessity than Audi giving a freebie! The brakes and calipers are huge!

True it was very hard to find a 18 to clear the brakes on the b7 rs4 and these are essentially the same setup

Talk about the mk2 RS3 ceasing production come the end of June/July 2016, talk of Audi limiting production to 5000 units in Europe. Done well if they've sold 5000 by then tbh.

5000 over whole of Europe is not a lot really. It is noted that a manufacturer has to sell around 3500 cars of one type in Britain for people to start noticing them. I think Britain will have a few thousand orders on its own.

Thinking about it you are right tbh.. Not a lot, I could easily see UK of having the highest number of rs3's on the road with the likes of Germany.

I think being on these forums skews people's perceptions a bit. As it seems like everyone is ordering an rs3

Aye true prob does skew it wonder how accurate that how any left is. Be careful my resting to see the number by end March 2016

Looks like the how many left refers to end of q2 so end of June. If so can't imagine many customer cars registered in that period, Acid test will be when they publish q3

TT RS is coming...

Motor will be upgraded RS3 2.5T, with about 400hp. RS3 facelift could take similar motor upgrade.
Supposedly scheduled for March in Geneva. In just 4 months and 2 weeks.

Where are people getting this facelift info. Or is it just guessing?

Some talking of a facelift, and some talking of production ending.

Ending of production? source? that doesn't sound very logical. Pre-facelift will end and mid cycle will start. RS3 is just cheapest RS model with lot of shared parts with A3/S3... something exclusive but far from being a limited edition.

Just forum rumor control.

Think it was either on this forum or RS3oc. Someone had heard production would end July 2016, someone else had heard only 5000 rs3's would be sold to Europe.

Probably none of it true.

I've only ever seen 2 on the road, both mk1.

TX.

I've overtaken one mk2 (red one, somewhere north of Portsmouth end of September) and also saw one last week in Sweden! Common as muck :D

M2 - £46k + options; 2 door, coupe. How is this a direct competitor to the RS3? The TTRS maybe, but just because it it has a similar power output to the RS3, doesn't make it a competitor across the board. Journos really have no idea?

It's really nice, but need the Quattro for the Scottish weather. Was in Glasgow last winter when thick snow fell, all the powerful rear wheel drive BMW's ended up in other cars..

0-62mph in 4.3s with 7-DCT. Same as RS3, with rear-drive, similar power 272kW and 220 pounds lighter (100kg). Not bad.

(front wheel-arches bulging out 55mm and the rears pushed out 80mm.... AUDI take note)

Be as well keeping the rs3 a year the. Getting m2 she. The discounts start bill?

Got to admit I love a bit or wide archness I nearly wrote the rs3 off as I didn't think they were big enough esp after all my subarus m3 rs4 focus Rs ect .

M View, built in GoPro? That sounds pretty cool!

M2 does look pretty cool - nice to see they have followed what they did with the 1M and used the M3 drive train (that's why it's SO much wider than the 2 series). Is a real shame Audi didn't do similar with the RS3 - if it had proper blistered arches it would be perfect!

I had a 135i Convertible, I nearly went for the 1M (and in hindsight looking at their current prices probably should have done!), but I really wanted a drop top so traded the ~30bhp and racier chassis for the open top driving experience.

Did you have the N54 (twin turbo) or the N55 (twin scroll single turbo) version? I was going to get a 335i (N54) but the engine issues put me off. IIRC the newer BMWs either use the N55 or an engine based on it and they're meant to be a really good block.

I got one of the first N55's off the line. It was a great engine, I'm also glad I didn't get the N54 what with the constant HPFP failures they seemed to suffer.

M2 is disappointing, exactly the same interior as the M235i bar different colour stitching, same engine as the M235i with some M3 engine bits to strengthen it, and then some M3 styling bits thrown on without the best bits like bonnet bulge, M mirrors, carbon roof. Then for an auto they want 46k! Really when the F80 M3's with the discounts BMW are throwing about a bring it to low 50's where the M2 will be with any options? You'd be mad to get one over the M3/4
And it's not really anymore powerful or faster than the A45 or RS3 lol

I have now one more BIG REASON to wait for RS3 facelift next year... M2 tests, configuration and availability.

My other option (A45-AMG) was discarded, but this is another world.
