Car booked in for stage 1

Had my S1 just over a week already fitted the uprated mk hose and panel filter and now booked in for front mount and a map on the 27th

What's the usual gain for a map ?
Anyone who's got a stage 1 is there a noticeable difference from stock ?
 
if stage 1 is most your going id recommend revo , clutch friendly est maps out there
 
apr maps eat clutches , on the manual tt rs apr map eats clutch before you get home !
 
Well we are all entitled to our opinions . But your comment is taken on board.
 
not saying they are a bad map , the opposite really but they go for maximum torque revo tend to wind down the torque a bit hence more clutch friendly
 
Revo is mapping the car for me and I'm going to change the clutch in next month or so anyway.
 
Mine made 306bhp without filter and inlet hose upgrade , on 97octane
 
306 that's a great figure for just a map what lbft you make if don't mind me asking ?
 
Right mate good choice for the remap any discount.
I'm getting mine done at jjb motors in York next month.
 
There going to sort a price for the inter cooler as its airtec that's making it and and same time going to map it for me. Will be interesting to see what it makes
 
My remaps on hold just bought a new 4K tv, so next month.

I will definitely be posting updates and figures once done. Will be doing the clutch either end of year beginning of next then I think will leave the car at that tbh as don't want to end up like I did with previous car chasing big power then ending up with a impractical car to drive on the road.

Yeah I had my remap done plus turbo inlet pipe and Pipercross filter. I will get an uprated intercooler fitted and , apart from the clutch when it eventually goes, that will be it. I think 310/320 bhp and 440 nm torque is enough. It's a brilliant car to drive now, it's just edgy enough to be fun without being dangerous.

That's the main reason getting a stage 1 I feel like the car is missing that little bit more poke

Yeah its typical of modern car manufacturers,especially German. The s1 can't be as powerful as the s3 which can't be as powerful as the rs3 and so on. The remap gives it what it needs
 
So not far from myself. I'm in sidcup about 15 mins from brands

I will have to take you out for a spin in mine so you can see the difference. Are you getting yours from Bexley Audi?
 
That would be great as would definitely like to see how different it feels with a map.
Yeah got mine from bexley Audi would of had it 2 weeks next Tuesday
 
Would the brakes need upgrading to match the new 0-60 in 4.7 seconds time?
 
so what mods you had now ? if i decide to keep my s1 a while longer might go for intercooler and clutch ready for revo

Stage 2 apr, is that because of the uprated filter and exhaust system. Hopefully that should push you up to maybe 330/340 or maybe more lol.

It's more and it's coz of the downpipe. I cant officially give the figures yet.
