Hi all just come back to the site with an s3 again it has triptonic gears a step up from my old s3 manual. I'm just after advice on how to get the best out of the gearbox when driving the family and when I'm on my own if you know what I mean...... What's the best way to use if I fancy a blast.... Thanks

Use the flappy paddles...Works every time.:superman:
 
D is pretty crap yeah, alright if your old. I always drive in s. Remap is on the cards, I'm going to keep everything engine wise standard or should I upgrade anything. My last s3 I had quite a few problems once remapped.
 
Put it in M and leave it there unless you are in a traffic jam. D shifts up way too early, S shifts too late. M gives you the option to decide what gear you want the car to be in.
